Brand Creative (aka Arts & Crafts)
We love to start conversations with our guests and can act as the spark and support for others in our communities to create those conversations too. We speak in colours, textures, photography, video and words. We translate the essence of lululemon into different media. Even if we don’t use our logo, every image or work of art we create says, “lululemon athletica” (sometimes it’s a hushed whisper, sometimes it’s a shout).

 

a day in the life of an Art Director
+ you ensure the visual quality across our store and community channels
+ that includes the visual experience for our stores, packaging, artwork in the stores, general branding of our events and community initiatives
+ create briefs for projects to be used by designers
+ you work with the design team to create, develop and execute those ideas
+ you act as a mentor for designers to coach them on how to develop and present their ideas to other channels for approval
+ you handle feedback from other channels and turn those comments into actionable tasks for your team
+ you act as a filter for the brand leadership team and present ideas to them once they meet your standards
+ you create and environment for your team that allows them to grow in their roles and take on more responsibility and leadership

 

The finer print
+ you have a formal design education
+ you have 3-5yrs experience leading creative teams
+ you have 5-10yrs experience working in print or experience design
+ you aren't afraid to get your hands dirty and create
+ you aren't a designer stereotype, you can take the glasses off and still have fun
+ there's something just a little "off" about you
