Keisha's classes are most known and appreciated for her dedication to teaching proper alignment and purpose of yoga postures. With an eye for detail and a keen kinesthetic awareness, Keisha can provide beginners with a strong foundation as well as fine tune advanced student's practices. Keisha's classes always include adjustments and personal assists, pose demonstrations, yoga history and philosophy, as well as meditation and relaxation techniques. Her friendly and practical approach to teaching yoga allows students in her group classes along with her private yoga clients to progress at their own pace. Working individually with Keisha will ensure that specialized attention is given to your specific conditions, physical limitations, or personal goals.
With a background in dance at the University of Utah and over 16 years of yoga experience, Keisha's able to design flowing vinyasa based classes that thread together the mind, body, and spirit; leaving practitioners feeling strengthened, lengthened, and restored. Keisha is well versed in several styles of yoga and is able to instruct restorative, prenatal, meditation, pranayama, Ashtanga, vinyasa, traditional Hatha, and yoga therapy lessons.
With experience teaching in a variety of venues including: national yoga conferences, corporations, private sessions, universities, health facilities, and yoga studios, Keisha has a clear understanding of how and why people are drawn to the transformative practice of yoga.
When Keisha is not on the mat, she enjoys gardening, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her 4-year-old daughter, family and friends. She aspires to culminate her life's loves into offering local and international yoga retreats.
