Karen Trasatti is a group fitness instructor known for her tough workouts, effective motivation, and enduring energy. Growing up in the rural area of Brunswick, MD, Karen started teaching group fitness classes at the age of 14 at the local YMCA, where her father was the director. Running the full cycle of the industry, Karen has embraced and learned all types and styles of fitness classes. An accomplished spinning instructor, Pilates trainer, Holistic Health Coach, Personal Trainer, and Bikini Boot Camp Director, Karen teaches everything from cycling classes to boot camps to Pilates Mat classes. An avid athlete and accomplished runner all her life, Karen has completed many road races and numerous marathons and was awarded the Goodloe E. Byron Award for the first Maryland female finisher in the Marine Corps Marathon.
Karen's greatest achievement is making a difference in peoples lives by changing their health and well being. Through her classes, boot camps and health coaching, Karen has helped hundreds of people reach their personal goals, and improve their physical and nutritional health, as well as their emotional and spiritual well-being. Every person who enters Karen's classes becomes a new friend to her and she hopes to enrich that person's life by the experience they share in class. She takes a personal interest in every member with the hope that they have enjoyed their workout experience as much as she does! Her passion in life is group fitness and it shows in her teaching.
Karen teaches at the Annapolis Athletic Club where she is the Group Fitness Director. She teaches all kinds of group fitness classes, provides private and group Holistic Health Coaching, and instructs Bikini Boot Camps. Karen is a certified AFAA Group Fitness Instructor, AFAA Personal Trainer, MadDog Spinning Instructor, PhysicalMind Pilates Instructor, and Institute of Integrative Nutrition Holistic Health Coach. She lives in Annapolis with her husband and three children.
