Shane has been teaching fitness for 20 years but has been bouncing around her entire life! Her fitness evolution started at a young age with dance and gymnastics followed by horseback riding and softball. She returned to dance at the age of 17 and danced her way through college studying ballet, pilates, jazz, modern and hip hop and danced with the Briggs Contemporary Dance Company. She was honored when selected to train at the Alvin Ailey Dance Center in NYC and expanded her dance knowledge studying Dunham and Horton techniques. Upon her return to the west coast she danced with the New Style Motherlode Dance Company and started teaching kickboxing, body toning and conditioning classes at the University of California at Berkeley.
