Born and raised in the Maryland countryside, Audra found her way to the yoga mat in 2002 after years of training in classical ballet and competitive horse showing. She was physically drained from both activities and found peace and creativity in vinyasa yoga. She discovered CorePower Yoga in 2006 after a move to Denver. In 2009, she moved to Chicago, enrolled in teacher training, and hasn’t looked back since.
With a background in public relations and a passion for teaching yoga, Audra found her professional niche in management with CorePower. To combine business and management with service and connection to others feels like a dream every day. In her time managing with CorePower Yoga, Audra served as area manager in the Chicago suburbs and introduced the brand to five communities there. She served as the leader for teacher trainings, a mentor for studio managers and teachers, and became a Lululemon Ambassador. Audra manages and teaches yoga from the heart and is beyond grateful to have a career that allows her to do that.
In 2012, CorePower Yoga announced expansion to the Washington, DC area and Audra jumped at the chance to introduce CorePower Yoga to the East Coast. She is enthusiastic about the challenges and opportunities in opening a new market and finds inspiration in the new people she meets here every day.
Audra graduated Magna Cum Laude from Hood College in Frederick, MD. When she is not in the yoga studio, Audra can be found riding horses, cooking, laughing easily, and spending time with her husband Shawn and their two children, Sam and Maggie.
