AIDS Project Los Angeles
Kerry Quakenbush (Level I, USATF Coach) is the Director of Endurance Events at AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA) where he oversees the training of hundreds of athletes annually as they prepare for marathons, half marathons, trail runs and triathlons. This fundraising program of APLA raises over $1.5 million annually and helps to fund APLA’s programs that provide vital services to individuals in Los Angeles County who are affected by HIV/AIDS. A dedicated athlete, Kerry has completed 30 marathons, several half marathons as well various trail races, relays, 10K and 5K races. In 2011, Kerry began training for triathlons and in July of 2012 completed a full IronMan race in Klagenfurt, Austria. Kerry’s main passion in life is coaching athletes (beginners and advanced) as they take on the challenge of long distance racing and fulfill a dream of completing an endurance event.
