Born and raised in Boise, I am an Idaho girl 100%. Whether it is a run, bike ride, hike in the foothills, or snow day, I love all things outdoors - the best place to experience all things Boise!
I've spent 6 years with Axiom as a Les Mills certified BodyCombat and BodyJam instructor, most recently adding BodyPump to my certifications. With several classes per week, every workout is my favorite part of the day. Time spent with members and other instructors at Axiom feels like a genuine exchange to me; I am sharing my energy, fitness training, and motivation, and in return I get inspiration, ambition, and smiles. I feel passionate about supporting the Axiom members and team, my friends, that encourage myself as well. I am heavily involved in planning and accomplishing annual fundraisers with Axiom that also highlight Axiom's group fitness classes. Axiom received heartwarming local support for our latest event to raise funds for Make-a-Wish of Idaho. It is extremely rewarding to create positive impact for an important cause, especially when I get to do it while I sweat!
This year, I grabbed the opportunity to coach Girls on the Run at Roosevelt Elementary. Working with the girls after school has me excited to coach every season. The coaching experience also helped spark a love affair with running. While I have always been crazy about the Race to Robie Creek and an occasional local fun run, I now get a charge out of learning how to be a more efficient and stronger runner. I have added a second half marathon to the calendar and have a marathon on the radar, a goal to complete with my husband in the coming year.
If I am not doing any or all of the above in Boise, I do love to travel with my husband and kids who love camping, beaches, palm trees, oceans, bugs, snakes, dirt, and adventure. Getting out to see new places, especially with the excitement from 3 little girls, keeps me inspired and fresh in my creative projects at home, Axiom, or my girls' school!
I believe, whole-heartedly, that if you play nice, play fair, don't complain, and just be the best person you know how to be, all that is positive and good will follow. And don't forget to say please and thank you.
I'm honored and thrilled about the coming year as a lululemon ambassador!
