Strength and Conditioning, Boxing Conditioning
“To be a better trainer this year than I was last year.” This is the basis of Mike’s philosophy and training style. He is an ordinary guy and he’ll be the first to tell you that he loves what he does. This love penetrates every workout and is evident in his approach and the relationship he has with his clients.
As a strength and conditioning specialist, Mike focuses on progressive core strengthening, plyometrics, and agility both on the field and in the gym. His classes are engaging and the results speak for themselves.
Mike began his career as a personal trainer in 1993. From 94 to 97, he used his skill at a chiropractic rehabilitation center. It was during this time that his boxing conditioning class was born. He joined the team at Foster City Athletic Club in 1997 and stayed on as a trainer until 2002. He brought his boxing conditioning class to Gladiators Gym in Redwood City in 1998 and worked there until 2004. Although Undisputed Boxing Gym is where he calls home, Mike can also be found training at Optimal Fitness Center and Planet Granite. He is a strength and conditioning specialist for the CSM Bulldogs’ football team and the Notre Dame de Namur men and women’s basketball, golf and women’s softball teams. Mike coaches the Tattersols and Team Sherpa, both of which are women’s trail and marathon running groups.
