Michele Quigley

Michele’s passion for health and fitness stemmed from participating in competitive year-round sports for most of her life and learning early on that proper conditioning and discipline were key to competing with and against highly skilled athletes. Her desire to constantly push her own limits on and off the playing field allowed her to excel in sports during high school and college where she experienced numerous winning seasons. While competing with relentless effort and heart often played an integral part in the outcome of the game, it was the challenge of maintaining a proper strength and conditioning regime that fueled her dedication to constantly push herself to the next level. During her final season of college soccer, Michele was offered the opportunity to take on a new challenge that would allow her to continue to do what she loves with a new audience of corporate athletes this time. Managing a small corporate fitness center in Bakersfield, Michele soon learned that her chapter with collegiate sports may have just ended but a new chapter of fitness had begun. Over the next 10 years, she would relocate to the bay area to oversee a number of corporate accounts before landing her current position as a Senior Manager at a large multi-tenant corporate complex with over 3,000 corporate athletes to train in a training facility unparalleled to most in the area. When asked what her dream job would look like, Michele quickly responds that she’s living it now: Training for various events such as marathons, ½ marathons, 10K’s and century rides or competing in events such as the Muddy Buddy races alongside the very people that participate in the variety of fitness classes she teaches on a weekly basis. Michele’s philosophy on fitness is simple: “Train for life and find the balance that allows you to live without depriving yourself. Goals are great and they will keep you focused in your training but don’t get lost in the importance of a finish line; when you are training, enjoy every step and push yourself constantly. Erase any and all doubt of limits or restrictions you’ve given yourself either intentionally or subliminally and get after it; you just might surprise yourself by what you are able to accomplish.” Michele’s training style is an eclectic mix of cycling, sport conditioning, boxing and plyo-metric training. When Michele isn’t training, she enjoys going to the beach, spending time with her family and appreciating all that the bay area has to offer such as wine tasting, music entertainment and amazing running weather all year round.
