Caitlin started practicing yoga after a friend promised her a burger and beer in exchange for company in a class that was being hosted at a local lululemon store. It was in this class that Caitlin learned her first arm balance and then she was hooked. She started attending weekly classes at a local studio and began to notice both a mental and physical change in herself. She had found a new a rhythm to her life. This rhythm allowed her to look at the world with a new perspective, find balance, and be present in each moment. This newfound passion led her to pursue the 200 Fluid Yoga training at Stil Studio in Dedham, MA under the instruction of Kevan Gale. Erin was raised just outside of Boston in a large family that cultivated the importance of an active lifestyle from a young age. While in school Erin competed in the usual sports and stayed active after high school by competing in half marathons, triathlons, and other races. After the birth of her daughter in 2009, she made the life changing decision to join the functional strength training community. Erin has been a functional strength coach since 2013, and in 2014 she changed her full-time career in order to achieve her goal of sharing her experience and passion with others and improving their quality of life by opening the doors to MountainTrail CF in Colchester, VT. With a name like Majken (think Viking warrior princess) conformity isn’t something that comes easily to her and she loves breaking rules. That’s why she loves teaching yoga. Majken tried a bunch of different jobs after graduating from St. Lawrence University (honors in public speaking and theater baby!) She tried tech, non-profit, even investment banking. But one day in Austin, Texas she ended up in an Ashtanga-inspired yoga class at a Lifetime Fitness. The rest of the day Majken felt like she had never felt before.
