What is your favorite way to sweat?There's this Bikram yoga thing that I hear makes you sweat quite a bit. Outside the hot room, I love hitting the trails - it's a part of my regular mental hygiene.
What is a goal that you are currently working on completing?
My goal for the past few years has been to facilitate healing through this yoga practice to as many people as possible; to identify barriers to accessing the yoga and remove them. A major progression toward this endeavor was opening Bikram Yoga Burnaby. The journey continues as we focus on growing our community. The more tangible marker for me will be expanding our facility so that we can offer special classes for children, youth, seniors, people with specific disabilities - anyone and everyone who has a perceived barrier to the benefits of yoga.
What are you passionate about?
At the risk of sounding like a complete yoga nerd - I am passionate about teaching yoga! There is nothing that compares to witnessing students step into their potential; to witness how one's presence in the world changes when a little bit of their pain is alleviated through their yoga practice. It's better than any cup of java!
If you could travel anywhere or do anything, what would you do and why?
Hmmmm... maybe mars? To see if that's where men are truly from! In all honesty, I am truly content with where I am and what I do . I am blessed.
