"Since 2000, I have been in continual awe of the depth of this ancient practice called yoga. My practice is guided by the deep qualities of the heart, expressed through the grace of both movement and stillness. I have been tremendously fortunate for the opportunity to study with amazing teachers around the globe, having traveled to over 25 countries to study, teach, and play. I hope to encourage students to develop a strong sense of body awareness, cultivate mindfulness and awaken their heart to experience their true selves. I do my best to take the lessons learned on the mat - compassion, surrender and gratitude with me into the world. Thank you to all those who have guided me along the path and those I have yet to meet. Namaste. " - Alice Hong Our lululemon athletica Chinook team... Read the profile >>
Without a doubt, my biggest passion is running long distances (particular trail running). My longest run (time) was 18 hrs. I've run in 3 Consecutive Canadian Death Race Ultra marathons (top 10 finishes). The course consists of 125kms, three mountain summits and over 17,000ft of elevation change as well as the crossing of a major river at our spectacular Hell's Gates canyon at the confluence of the Smoky and Sulphur Rivers. I've also run the 2008 Lost Souls 100 miles ultra marathon and have finished the 2005 edition of the Trans Rockies Endurance Race (Fernie to Canmore). I have run over ten marathons with an average time of 3:20. I have run over ten ½ marathons and have run in excess of twenty + 10k races. My ultimate running goal is to compete in Le Marathon des Sables in... Read the profile >>
I started the yoga practice in a time of uncertainty and it has certainly been one of the most beautiful and satisfying journeys that I have started and continue to grow from each day. I am so proud and honoured to have the opportunities to stand in a room and witness the journeys the students take on the mat and off the mat. It really is, the best job in the entire world! Each event in our lives serves in a big or small way towards shaping who we are. In my former life, I have been involved with neuroscience research and even spent a year in Japan as an English teacher. Currently, I describe myself as a yoga teacher, a food blogger, an aspiring world traveller and a fun enthusiast. The world around us can be a serious place and it falls on... Read the profile >>

Persistence that is what I live by in everything that I do. I believe that through hard work, discipline, and desire, anything is possible. Athleticism has been an intricate part of my life since I was a little girl. From gymnastics and ballet to diving, skiing and tennis I immersed myself in sports at a young age and always had a passion for competition. It was this passion that helped me to become a three- time Canadian tennis champion, while traveling internationally and playing tournaments like the Junior Us Open and the French Open. I later went on to play at the University of San Diego on a full tennis scholarship until an injury forced me to give up my tennis career. However my love for the game of tennis, competing and sport in general is... Read the profile >>
