April Buck began studying dance when she was 3 years old. Very early in life, April was exposed to many varieties of dance including; polynesian, belly dance, latin, west coast swing, irish, scottish highland, jazz, ballet, contemporary & rhythm tap. When she was 11, April enjoyed teaching dance and performing with a dance company until a car accident 11 years later marked the end of her dance career as she knew it. In early 2008, April’s passion for dance was reinvigorated when she discovered Zumba Fitness, a latin-influenced cardio dance workout. It only took a few months before April received her license to teach Zumba. Her love for teaching Zumba is well recognized and many people that attend her classes also become Zumba instructors.
