Brent Holten was introduced to yoga at an early age as a cure for insomnia, and it has played a huge part in his life ever since. He has been teaching in Chicago since 1995, and students may recognize him from his classes at Moksha Yoga, Crunch, Equinox, Fitness Formula, and Cheetah gyms.
In 2009 Brent opened i.d. gym in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago where he can be found teaching, not only yoga, but spinning and dance classes as well. i.d. gym has won "best gym" in the Chicago Reader poll two years in a row.
Brent is the creator of Fly Yoga, which has been featured on CNN, ABC, WGN, CLTV, WCIU, Time Out Chicago, Michigan Avenue Magazine, and the Chicago Tribune, as well as being named "Best New Yoga Class" in Chicago Magazine. In addition Brent is the creator of The Caveman Workout, named one of SELF Magazines "Best New Workouts," and the national yoga program for Bally's Total Fitness.
