Susie Crossland-Dwyer is the owner/trainer/running coach @ Studio S. She has always had a passion for sports and fitness and for helping others realize their potential.
After graduating from Miami University, Oxford, OH, she co-founded a life-coaching company called ikigai (meaning “that which makes life most worth living”) where she co-taught workshops to help professionals of all backgrounds clarify and pursue their life goals. It was out of this process of leading others that she discovered her own purpose—to help individuals find confidence and strength through fitness and healthy living.
Susie continues to help bring people closer to their personal and physical goals through one-on-one interactions during personal training, teaching a Spinning class or coaching a new runner on a training run. She delights daily in the opportunity to combine her experience in life-coaching with her passion for physical movement.
A life-long athlete, Susie has played soccer for over 20 years; completed many marathons; and is an avid cyclist & tri-athlete. In ’09 she entered the world of ultra-endurance sport when she completed the Louisville Ironman. She continues to train for Iron-distance races and hopes to complete an ultra-marathon of 50-100 miles.
She is a certified Personal Trainer with ACE (American Council on Exercise), a Group Exercise instructor with AFAA (Aerobics Fitness Association of America), a Pilates Mat instructor with PHI Pilates and a Pilates Reformer instructor with Mad Dogg Athletics. In her eighth year of teaching, she holds the highest level of certification as a Spinning instructor.
