We’ve suited up in the home team’s colours, memorized the spirit cheers, and we’re on our way to Hamilton, Ontario for the 2010 lululemon athletica Warehouse Sale (aka our Homecoming Party)!

The lululemon 2010 warehouse sale will be happening from September 30th to October 3rd, 2010 at the Hamilton Convention Centre, in the heart of downtown Hamilton.

Tiffany and her store are ready for the holidays! Come in and share a few laughs with your local lululemon.

This holiday season will be my sixth working for lululemon athletica. How time flies.

Like most people, the holidays are a particularly special time of year for me, and I want to tell you why.

Working at a lululemon store over the holidays has lots of special perks - amazing product, complimentary yoga, Starbucks runs, and lots and lots of love and laughter. But more than that, working at a lululemon store over the holidays is being a part of special holiday moments.

It's the guests like you, reading this post, that make my holidays what they are. I get to hear about your families, your friends, your achievements, your stories – each and every day I walk into work.

I get to hear grandparents speaking proudly about their grandchildren; I get to see long wish lists filled with Groove Pants and Remix Lulu Hoodies; I get to experience the fun of picking out the perfect outfit for the perfect boyfriend.

When you shop in our stores this holiday season, or call our Guest Education Centre, make sure you share your stories with the educators that help you. Talk about your family, your friends, your achievements and goals.

This is what makes us love our jobs, and why I truly love the ho-lu-days.

Why do you love the ho-lu-days?

Gifts come in all shapes and sizes. Sometimes they are big, sometimes they are small, and sometimes, they don’t appear to be gifts at all.

What is feedback? At one time in my life, I asked that exact question. From my experience in both giving and receiving feedback, and what I've learned from different training programs at lululemon, here's what I've gathered:

Feedback is a tool to assist the recipient (and the provider!) in becoming great. It consists of a series of words, spoken together, and delivered in the moment the feedback is conceived. Feedback is spoken with candor (frankness, openness, and sincerity) and is not a personal attack.

Feedback is a gift.

Too often, we are fearful of giving feedback, as we are fearful of what the recipients are going to think about us. We are scared, as perhaps we are going to appear mean. We are nervous, as we are not sure how the recipient is going to take it.

Well, guess what?

Feedback isn't about us. It's all about the receiver. So take a deep breath, do others a favour, and give them feedback.

It truly is the ultimate gift.

To most university students, Thanksgiving brings the excitement of going home, spending time with old friends, and eating plenty of real, home-cooked meals.

I have four housemates – Emma, Fay, Kelsey and Sarah – and we live in a little house right near the Queen’s University campus. Similar to most university students, we’re all very excited to go home to see our families and, of course, eat home-cooked meals.

This past Saturday, we received a Facebook message from Emma, which I wanted to share with all of you:

so i’ve decided that we are going to celebrate thanksgiving.

for thanksgiving we all go home and appreciate food and that is definitely great. but i think our celebration (although it will involve food) should also involve thanking each other. so what i will do this week is go around and give everyone little cuecards, and on those cuecards we will have to thank each other for something (coolness, being a person who listens, sharing food, etc.) then i will compile them and we will have a dinner celebration (date and time to be decided) and hand them out.

Although the message was simple, it got right down to the point of Thanksgiving – giving thanks to those who you are grateful for. These four girls are my best friends in the world – but sometimes its easy to forget how much I truly appreciate them – even if its just for their coolness!

I challenge each and every one of you reading this blog to do something similar – take a moment and really give thanks to the people around you. Let them know how much you appreciate their love, time and special characteristics.

We had our Thanksgiving feast on Monday night – and despite the fact it certainly wasn’t a homecooked meal – it might have been the best Thanksgiving dinner I’ve ever had!

I recently arrived home from a week-long vacation out west, visiting both sets of grandparents. As you can imagine, I was treated to all sorts of special things - dinners out and shopping trips, among other activities.

On one particular lunch date, I sat down and started the often-difficult task of deciding what I was going to order.

A particular dish immediately caught my eye: the Kitsilano Sandwich. It sounded like a yummy option – chicken breast with melted sharp cheddar, asparagus and seasoning, wrapped in warm naan bread. For more than its taste, I loved the name.

Kitsilano has a special place in many a lululemon educator’s heart. The small community was the location of the first lululemon store, just over a decade ago. It was the place where this very special company began.

For fun, I thought, what the hell! An ode to lululemon. I’ll have the Kitsilano Sandwich. I never thought any more of it.

Several days later, for some reason, the Kitsilano Sandwich crossed my mind once again. It reminded me of one of my two-year goals: to be living in Vancouver, working at the lululemon Store Support Centre.

As I thought more and more about my sandwich, I began to realize how choices in our daily lives can contribute to achieving our goals.

Even though that goal was not to be achieved for more than another 700 days, the point is, I was already thinking about moving to Vancouver, and it was hanging out in my conscious mind.

If we were to treat every single goal this way, always top of mind, what opportunities would present themselves simply from awareness?

Perhaps my sandwich is an extreme example – but I think the point is clear. Your conscious thoughts can translate into real-life opportunities, if you make them. I chose to choose that sandwich.

For those of you who were wondering – my sandwich was absolutely amazing – and the day I become a citizen of Vancouver, I will think back to the little sandwich that started it all.

I have to be thoroughly honest with you.

I'm not exactly what you would call a 'hardcore' runner. When it comes to my running program, the words snow, rain, cold, or anything else unpleasant simply do not have a place. Summer running is where it's at.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I actually really like running. I really, really like running when I am wearing the brightest, coolest and most functional pieces on the running market. Who wouldn't? This is why I love lululemon!

For instance, my first outing of the running season was this past Monday, and I decided to sport the new Run: Flow Thru Dress. For me, this dress was a match made in runner's heaven. It's fun, cute, and made with Silverescent technology. The dress upheld its Flow Thru name – the air flowed right 'thru', and kept me cool during my 5km – which felt more like 50km!

Like some, my iPod is my running companion. I'm not a person who can run and talk at the same time – my breath will simply not have it. The amazing thing about lululemon run gear is it harbors all sorts of gadgets and gizmos for your running routine. The Run: Flow Thru Dress has a handy pocket near the small of the back – perfect for a key, map, or in my case, a running mate!

On that note, I'm looking for some new music to keep me company. I know there are others out there like me… what are your favourite running tunes? (Leave me a comment below).

Now for all you summer runners out there (and all you hardcore ones too!), I pronounce the 'official' running season open!

Well, that's us.

You see, the thing about that little boy is that as much as he's a handful, he is always entertaining, and as his family member, you still love him - even if he paints all over your walls.

He keeps you honest, usually when you're least expecting it - especially when you begin to hear questions like, 'why?', 'why?' ‘why?', and 'why not?'.

But, the best part about that little boy is that he just is who he is. It doesn't matter what the other kids are doing, if he wants to play dress up when its nap time - he'll do it!

Like I said, that's us.

We are a handful. You never really know what's going to be happening when you pop into your local store – whether we're going to have a pole dancing class, or a lemonade stand set up.

We're always ready to make you think (when was the last time you did something that scared you?) and provide a goal coaching session to figure out where your priorities lie.

In true fashion, we are who we are. We dance, we sing, we floss, we travel. To us, friends are more important than money. We prefer to do it now, than to do it later.

Perhaps that little boy will grow up one day, and will stop painting and asking questions, but we can't promise the same. This year we turned ten – but we're still three at heart!
