One of the things I love the best about music is how individual tastes can differ. One of my workmates is a Rihanna and Lady Gaga fanatic; my iPod is packed with obscure singer-songwriters from the 70’s, New Wave b-sides and dancehall kitsch from the streets of Jamaica (try ending every sentence by yelling ‘SHABBA!’ Most. Fun. Ever.) However, one thing we can all agree on is that there was an amazing amount of new music that came out of 2011.
