LULU_BRAND_BMC2013SpainCamp_3025The Tour de France is fully underway and along with 22 other teams, the BMC Racing Team is making their way through 21 stages and 3,404 kilometres across France in 23 days.

To prepare for the season and the intensity of the race, practicing yoga helps ground the team and build a foundation that will help get them through the bumps and bruises that will inevitably happen through the season. These serious cyclists are also serious yogis - "like hippies on a beach".

We caught up with some of the guys during some training sessions in Spain to find out a little more.

Yoga really can help ground you for so many situations! From the Tour de France to just a hectic day, the relaxation and peace that yoga provides can benefit anyone.

It’s obviously not helping them very much, their team leader Cadel Evans is over half an hour behind the overall leader of the race at the halfway point, and the young guy who’s projected to take over the team lead is even further back (he was 5th last year).

EPO is evidently a lot more effective than yoga.
