catching up with jill



Imagine waking up one day and finally paying attention to that voice in your head that’s been telling you “this isn’t right”. After a stressful eleven years in the finance industry, Lincoln Square store educator, Jill, called it quits on her 9-5 to pursue a healthier and happier life. I highly recommend Hal Higdon's book for first time marathoners as I used it last year for my first marathon. The book has a wide variety of training schedules for all different levels.


I absolutely love the Nike+ app on my iPhone because I can share my runs through Twitter and Facebook!


Hands down the most comfortable bra to run in. Fits perfectly, chafe-resistent and moisture wicking!

They were giving these babies out at the SeaWheeze and I fell in love with them. Plant-based, delicious, easy to digest for optimal energy and HEALTHY.


I never leave for a run during the day without my sunglasses. I love being incognito to get into my zen mode.


I never know where I am going to end up in the city... so I always carry my Metrocard just in case I get carried away and end up in Brooklyn!


I love how these stay in place and are moisture wicking. It basically doesn't feel like I am wearing anything at all!

This balm is all natural and vegan too!


Absolutely a must when running long distances so you don't get all chafed and sore.


Ah-mazing. I have a lot of hair and this headband keeps my hair and sweat off my face.


I love this medal as a reminder of crossing that finish line in the beautiful city of Vancouver. I was so proud to run that race as a part of the lululemon family.

Brooklyn is an awesome place to run, the views of manhattan are phenomenal(http://www.sadpony.com/2012/02/motivations-views.html)! And its easy to run back across one of the bridges :)

What amazing changes! I love “listen to your intuition and take action.” Jill’s story is so inspiring. I’ve been trying to make changes as well, and I’ve been using http://www.easygoals.com, which is a goal-setting workshop and achievement platform. I get texts and emails with motivating messages and images. It’s pretty awesome, so I thought people like Jill might want to check it out!!

Im glad to hear that you had the strength and courage to give up your job. Most people just suffer through it and think that this is how life is, when in fact it is not.

This is a great video! I was lucky enough to meet Jill at the Lululemon store in Manhattan a few weeks ago and am very excited to learn more about Jill’s story. A friend of mine told me recently to ‘get quiet’ ie meditate to help me compose music. He said if you stop long enough to quiet your mind, the music will come.

I really love hearing stories like Jill’s. It is so inspiring. There are a couple of things she mentions on the video that I was hoping you could provide more info about. Specifically, her green juice and her Holistic Health coaching. Is there any way you could provide her green juice recipe? Also, where did she go to receive her Holistic Health Coaching? This kind of made me want to cry. Good for you, Jill! Plus, we run EXACTLY THE SAME! I had to watch this twice to listen to her talking after getting totally distracted by our identical gait the first time around.
