Kirstie approaches teaching with a sense of humour and the intent to being present. She brings her life experience to her mat and her students. There is something to be learned from her because she teaches from a place of truly authentic, real life experience. This class is designed to find a deeper stretch through the holding of some postures in a heated environment (103 degrees Fahrenheit—that's 39.4 degrees Celsius for you metric sorts).
I loved this studio because it is welcoming, clean and open to all levels of yogis. The room was comfortably full with first time students right through to experienced yogis, and a great mix of men and women of all ages. The heat is consistent and radiant (it heats every object in the room—including you) and just toasty enough. Ahhhmazing. For a post-class pick-me-up there were so many choices, but we decided on Punch Pizza for a hand tossed, brick oven baked pizza, salad and glass of wine on its outdoor patio. This was the perfect finish to our sweat and time together to catch up. Next time you are in Minneapolis, Moksha Yoga is a must!
