Truly inspirational.

lots of water + lots of sleep = decreased stress and cortisol levels. If one is lacking in either of those; would be a great place to start improving in.

Thank you for posting Linda's goals. It inspired me to take the plunge and sign up for the Whistler Half Marathon this year. I've got some fancy dancy new winter running tights and jacket from your store and am ready to train!

Phil and Linda,
I did the Great Wall Race in 2009. There's definitely some specific tips I could give you to make the whole experience a little more enjoyable and less miserable as you must conquer the wall!!!!! (including making the travel arrangements)
There are some other pointers for jumping into the world of >42.2. My first one went great until about 45km and I derailed. Feel free to shoot me an email with any questions.

Cheers to all the BHAG's in 2011!!!!

Thanks Brian! Now that my goal is published, there's no turning back .. and it feels great! Who knows what I'll take on after achieving my first goal .. only a few months away! If you have specific training tips for conquering that ultra, would love to hear them!

Those are some awesome goals Linda!!!!! It's amazing how much you can accomplish when you sit down and publish your goals. They almost happen magically.
I set some very similar goals a few years ago and now I can say I've ran a marathon on the Great Wall of China and just recently finished a 100 mile trail race.
Keep setting the bar high and your quality of life you can fit into the time we have just keeps getting better!!!!!
Cheers to an awesome 2011!!!!!

I was inspired by your manifesto and goal setting to start planning my goals for next year. I have decided to base them in my own manifesto which I created today (I hope you don’t mind the mimicry). I wanted to share it with you. You can check out my blog post about it here: http://craftchick.wordpress.com/2010/12/29/creating-my-own-manifesto/

Now on to the actual goal planning!

Happy New Year

This is my story about how your Scuba Sweaters can do so much more than just keep you warm, over the summer I was attacked by a German Sheppard. I was with my friend, Rachel, I was at her cabin and we went to the park after supper since the park was right near her backyard. So I put on my lululemon sweater and left for the park , there were lots of kids at the park and a owner and their dog which was off leash… when it saw me it came sprinting towards me and I did not see it coming but Rachel did and move to the side as the dog came and grabbed hold of my arm tearing my sweater then I realized what happened and started crying and screaming as the dog circled me and was trying to bite me ,Rachel was at my side trying to scare away the dog but it was not working . Rachel’s Parents saw it through the window and rushed out and circled me trying to protect me from the dog, but the dog quickly lunged at my side and bite my side then next thing I knew the owner of the dog was behind me telling me to be quiet so the dog would leave (Well that would not help now would it) me alone ,she was not much help then I don’t remember how it happened but next thing I knew I was inside crying as people were trying to get me to sit down. The owner came in a couple moments later as Rachel’s mom wanted to see my arm where the dog ripped the sweater , the owner promised me that she would pay for a new one (which she did) so in the end if I had not been wherein my thick lululemon sweater my arm and side would have been a lot worse , So thank you so much Lululemon for all your hard work and keeping me safe!!!!
