2012 Warehouse Sale in Chicago

Comment by Allessia — January 12, 2012 @ 9:16 am

Thanks Allessia! That was a really great breakdown of the of what to expect at a lulu warehouse sale. Now to plan a road trip to Ottawa…..

Comment by Anil N. Singh — January 12, 2012 @ 9:41 am

Anything coming to Jacksonville or just Florida in general? Thanks!!

Comment by Jessica — January 12, 2012 @ 10:06 am

What kind of deals are there? Never been and want to know if its worth the drive from Toronto area. What are the deals like? 50% or more or less? Are regular items there, like groove pants? If you are not there first thing in the morning, is there still a lot to go around and a lot of product. Thanks!

Comment by Care — January 12, 2012 @ 10:18 am

As much as I love me some lulu, I went to the previous warehouse in Ottawa and didn’t manage to find much of anything great. It was like the “sales” rack at the store but multiplied by a lot. Also waited outside in the frigid weather for 3 hours. REALLY hoping this year is much better.
Oh and note to others, regular items such as the scuba sweaters and groove pants aren’t at the warehouse events.

Comment by Lana — January 12, 2012 @ 2:31 pm

I want to go to the warehouse sale so much, but I don’t have anyone to take the trip from Toronto to Ottawa with me :( I hope that there’s a closer one next year.

Comment by Stefanie — January 12, 2012 @ 2:37 pm

Hey Care!

Our Warehouse Sale is a great opportunity for us to be generous and offer thanks to our guests for being so amazing.

Product is restocked throughout the day and we’ve got some daily surprises too! We’ll be posting on Twitter and Facebook throughout the weekend so if any important info about product comes up, we’ll be sure to let you know as well.

- your friendly lululemon athletica Ottawa Warehouse team

Comment by Michelina Teti — January 12, 2012 @ 3:46 pm

hi i was just reading the comments that were posted and i hope that things are a lot different this year cause i am intending on going and i do want the popular items, like the scuba hoodie & groove pants. And hope there are regular people sizes not just 6 & under. Counting down the days til the big day…

Comment by Lori — January 12, 2012 @ 3:56 pm

Just wondering if you will be hosting a warehouse sale closer to London ontario? Hamilton even. I know there are alot of loyal costumers around here however travelling 4 hours plus doesn’t seem like much of a savings. Please PLease Please come closer!

Comment by Katrina — January 12, 2012 @ 4:48 pm

Will you also have bags at the sale? Interested in the Triumphant tote to be precise.

Comment by Me — January 12, 2012 @ 5:10 pm

Are there any warehouse sales coming out West?

Comment by Fatima — January 12, 2012 @ 6:17 pm

Wewestern Canada? Ooophs sorry forgot that! :s

Comment by Fatima — January 12, 2012 @ 6:21 pm

Is this the only sale this year? Will you not be holding one in Toronto or Hamilton? Lori

Comment by Lori — January 13, 2012 @ 6:30 am

I dont understand why giftcard are not accepted…
Its like money..
I was all excited because I got a gift card for x-mas and I cant even use it !! sucks. ???

Comment by Sophie — January 13, 2012 @ 7:02 am

Will there be any accessories? Mats, mat totes, straps, ect.
Want to know if it’s worth the 10 hours in a car!!
Thanks :)

Comment by Nicola — January 13, 2012 @ 8:17 am

Has Lululemon looked into expanding up in Northern Canada to Iqaluit, Nunavut?

Comment by Sarah — January 13, 2012 @ 8:42 am

Warehouse sales are once a year I believe so they won’t go west.
And again, they won’t have scuba hoodies or groove pants.

Comment by Lana — January 13, 2012 @ 8:59 pm

Hey ladies!

Right now we only have a Warehouse Sale planned in Ottawa and Chicago. We’ll announce any new Warehouse Sales on all of our social channels.

Sophie, gift cards are not accepted because the equipment and tills that travel with us to the Warehouse Sale are not equipped to process gift cards. We hope you can pop into a store soon and use that gift card!

Hope to see you all in Ottawa shorty!

Comment by Michelina Teti — January 14, 2012 @ 8:02 am

Nicola, we’re still opening boxes as I type – but trust me – this year’s product is mighty fine! It’s going to be an awesome Warehouse Sale. We’ll have all kinds of products, and the racks will be replenished each day of the sale!

Comment by Michelina Teti — January 14, 2012 @ 8:04 am

How about a warehouse sale in Montreal??? If so when?? Thanks!

Comment by Lucy — January 14, 2012 @ 11:37 am

Hey everyone,
Thanks for all of your questions! So far, the Ottawa and Chicago warehouse sales are the only 2 that have been announced for this year.

@Sophie – The registers that will be at the warehouse sale don’t have the capability to process giftcards like we would in store.

@Me & Nicole – There is normally a variety of products including gear and accessories. What will exactly be available? We won’t know for sure until the big event. You might like to head over to the events page on Facebook where our team will be posting updates :

@Sarah – Thanks for the question. I haven’t heard about any new locations for Canada, but I’d be happy to pass the suggestion along to our store development team for you.

Comment by GEC Online — January 15, 2012 @ 12:31 pm

Is there a way we can have a warehouse sale in Northern California? Pretty, pretty please???? :)

Comment by Cathryn — January 16, 2012 @ 3:36 pm

What items can we expect to see?

Comment by Chelsea — January 16, 2012 @ 7:25 pm

I just wanted to leave a comment to help ppl figure out what will be at the sale. I went to the sale in Hamilton two yrs ago. The line moves quickly and the clothes were pretty good. Yes there was some ugly old sale stuff but there were also some gems. I bought some pants, crops, a jacket, and some organic cotton stretch tanks. I didn’t see many accessories last time because apparently they were sold out (I went on the Sunday). There were great things like groove pants and such. Prices are hit and miss but it’s a fun opportunity to score some luon cheaply.

Comment by Carly — January 17, 2012 @ 10:32 am

What time will the doors to the CE open for the Ottawa Sale this weekend?

Comment by Jane — January 17, 2012 @ 2:09 pm

Hi there,

I’ve never been to a Lulu Warehouse sale before, and I was wondering what type of deal and items would be there I live 5 hours away and was trying to decide if it would be worth going.

I hope someone could let me know roughly percentages saved etc.

Comment by Kasey — January 17, 2012 @ 4:39 pm

For the people that have gone to these warehouse sales before can you tell us what kind of sales are there? Is it really a big discount compared to the store or different then the we made too much section?

Comment by Maya — January 17, 2012 @ 5:44 pm

@Jane – The Warehouse Sale begins at 9 am. But the doors for the CE Centre will open at 7 am for the indoor line – to keep us all warm and happy. No one likes waiting outdoors in Ottawa snow.

See you there!

Comment by Michelina Teti — January 17, 2012 @ 8:59 pm

The doors open at 9 a.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Comment by Dawn — January 18, 2012 @ 6:50 am

I know all sales are final, but if we purchase something in the wrong size, can we exchange it at a store?

Comment by Jessica — January 18, 2012 @ 7:03 am

What type of price reduction can we expect to find at the warehouse sale

Comment by Sheryl — January 18, 2012 @ 7:37 am

Can the Pilates teacher discount still apply?

Comment by Robyn Baxter — January 18, 2012 @ 11:14 am

From what I remember from being at the sale in Kelowna in 2008, items were priced according to a coloured sticker. i.e. Red sticker, $40, Green sticker $30, Yellow sticker $20. But I can’t remember exactly. It would be helpful to know this in advance though! Maybe someone from Lulu can clarify?

I was lucky to live in Kelowna during that sale. And I got lucky again by living in Ottawa now :)

Comment by Kim — January 18, 2012 @ 3:30 pm

what are the prices for pants at these ware house sales?

Comment by amelie — January 18, 2012 @ 4:01 pm

If we need hemming, can we go to any regular Lulu store for them to do it for us?

Comment by Kayley — January 19, 2012 @ 11:47 am

I wanted to know whether or not if the doors truly did open at 7am as said above then after another one said 9am. Can someone pls clarify.

Comment by Carla — January 19, 2012 @ 12:12 pm

I am planning on taking my 8 month old daughter with me in her stroller, is there anything I should know before heading out?

Comment by Peggy — January 19, 2012 @ 2:06 pm

Just wondering…if we don’t bring a coat/purse/bag, etc. into the venue, can we simply skip the coat check line? I’ve heard that the coatcheck line was quite lengthy during last night’s presale!

Comment by Mel — January 20, 2012 @ 5:38 am

Does anyone know how long the lines are to get in?

Comment by Lola — January 20, 2012 @ 9:06 am

@Lola – Check out our twitter feed @lululemonwhs for in the moment line updates!

Comment by Allessia — January 20, 2012 @ 9:20 am

Glad you added the infor about taking away coats and purses/bags as I would have simply walked away upset. Would not be leaving my purse and its contents and trust that someone else would guard against theft. Clearly not the sale for me!

Comment by Carol — January 20, 2012 @ 9:31 am

The line up is really bad. My daughter was so disappointed but the wait was expected to be 5 to 6 hours just to get in. The line up on the Uplands road was raelly bad to. We waited at least 1/2 hour just to get to the lights that brought you into the centre. I was also told that only 100 people at a time were being let in.

Comment by Janet — January 20, 2012 @ 11:37 am

Guys! This thing was a huge disapointment! Line-ups were about 4-6 hours to get in and an hour to shop! Getting up to 50% off is not considering the baseline prices for lulu stuff…On top of all that parking was $7! Boo!

Comment by John — January 20, 2012 @ 11:57 am

Sorry not an hour to shop, an hour to pay! Whoops. Lulu stuff is great, but 4-6 hours of my time is just too much to wait for so little off.

Comment by John — January 20, 2012 @ 12:08 pm

The lines were terrible!! After 5 hours I got through the doors. Once in the selection was ok but not outstanding unless you are a size 4. There was then another 2 hour line up for cash. Don’t bother!

Comment by Susan — January 20, 2012 @ 3:10 pm

My daughter & I arrived at 6:15 pm and were turned away because the present line was too long and they were not sure if everyone in line would get in this evening (Friday).

Comment by Patricia — January 20, 2012 @ 4:45 pm

Pants 55$, kids pants as low as 9$. Sweatshirts 79$, leather bags 40$
In and out, total of 7 hrs. Sadly they told us 3. If you have cash it’s a further 10% off. No cell reception, line up to pay another hour and a half.
Got some great stuff, however will NEVER go again.
The staff tell you what you want to hear, but not the truth.

Comment by Nancy — January 20, 2012 @ 6:47 pm

Can anyone shed some light on how the first day of the sale was? Were the deals good? Did the line move quickly? Was there a good selection of Men’s items?

Comment by Patti — January 20, 2012 @ 8:17 pm

Not worth the wait. Took 3 hours to get in yesterday, took 2 hours to pay at the cash, and it’s only 30-50% off. Not to mention it costs $7.00 to park!! It would have been nice to advertise that if we paid in cash we would get an extra 10% off. Would not recommend this sale, unless you have alot of extra time to waste.

Comment by Sue — January 21, 2012 @ 1:08 pm

Went on saturday afternoon, wait was short but stock was disappointing. No groove pants, no tanks, no bras under size 8. Since I read the blog, I knew the coat check was mandatory, but there was no indication outside of the hall that there was a coat check inside of the sale, so my Mom and I paid for coat check, and then saw the free one on the inside… Will not attend again.

Comment by Cbl — January 21, 2012 @ 2:14 pm

Does anyone know what the prices where for men’s hoodies? Also were there lots of selection with them? Thanks

Comment by AP — January 21, 2012 @ 8:12 pm

I was there this morning…wait was not too bad…it was about an hour. And the savings were more than 50% of the regular price for everything I purchased. I am size 6 and I found everything I was looking for in my size.

Comment by erin — January 22, 2012 @ 9:08 am

Comment by AL — January 23, 2012 @ 4:16 am

Went to the Ottawa sale Sunday a.m., Got the last 2 size 10 scuba hoodies faux fur for 39.00 reg 168. That was great! Walked away with rainpants for 39.00 reg 98. and the yoga cover for 4. reg 36 pretty happy. Would do it again! Thank you! Waited in line 1 hour at front and at cash. I went in with 150. cash and left with 4 in change. Had fun! All in all.

Comment by Catherine — January 23, 2012 @ 6:50 am

Are you planning on having another warehouse sale next year in Ottawa? I missed this one :(

Comment by Ali — January 23, 2012 @ 1:31 pm

Hey Ali and Michele
Thanks for the question. As these events are fairly rare and special for us, we haven’t planned when or where the next one will be. Once the next one has been decided, we will be sure to post on all of our online channels so everyone knows about it. Thanks for the suggestions on where to hold the next one!

Comment by GEC Online — January 23, 2012 @ 3:34 pm

hi I went to the warehouse sale in Ottawa on friday and went again on sunday. And i live 2 hours away. It was well worth going but better on friday, as the sizes, colours, & choices were amazing. I only wish i had a grogery cart to put all my loot in. Especially since after waiting since 7:15am & getting in at 11:20am then waiting amost 2hours in line to pay. My arms were dead. Sunday’s prices went too “everything under $39″ but only sizes 2,4,6 & only grey and some black. All in all i can’t wait til the next sale…
thanks LuLu

Comment by Sally — April 5, 2012 @ 12:01 pm

I seriously mean it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plus lululemon was made in Canada you should have more wearhouse sales in Canada because in America you pay less for the clothes and that would downfall buisness!!!

Comment by Sally — April 5, 2012 @ 12:06 pm

Hey Sally,
Thanks for your question! As our warehouse sales are pretty special events for us, we tend to only have the once a year. They also will change location and timing from year to year.

At the moment, we don’t have any updates on when or where the next warehouse sales will be. However, once we do have confirmation, we will be sure to post about it like we did for this year’s events so all of our guests hear the news.

Thanks again for your post,
