I don't care if you keep this new version, but PLEASE bring back the last version, with the longer cut and thick fitted fleece. The things you changed about the Scuba Hoodie are what made it perfect. The new material is too light. Doesn't serve the same purpose at all. I can buy lighter, synthetic-feeling sweatshirts anywhere, but the wonderfully heavy, fitted, flattering original Scuba Hoodie was different than anything available. Please bring back the last version! Keep both versions and you will have pleased everyone.

This is a huge bummer! I have one scuba hoodie - a longer, lighter version that was produced a few years ago. I love it. Whatever happened to the LONGER scuba hoodie?
The current scuba hoodies, and now this new one are too short for my torso (I'm 5'10"). Guess I'll be shopping elsewhere...

Hey Jenn,
I love your passion for our product and what you want to see in technical garments. We always appreciate feedback, so keep sending it our way. It's what helps us innovate and make choices for future. If you ever get a product which you loved or didn't love, I highly recommend sharing a review on the product about how you found the fit, features and function. All of the reviews and gone through and we collect the feedback from there and send it onto our designers to take into consideration. Some design feedback can take time to see as our designers work several seasons ahead of what is currently out.
Thanks again,
~Jenna

Seriously disappointed in some of lulu's "evolution" over the pas 2 years. This "evolvement" would be a welcomed change if it were not CLEARLY a means to save money on fabrics/ manufacturing process and maximize profit margins. There is no way that a thinner, less substantial, 1-ply product is an improvement to an already flawless design. I can understand evolution as far as thumbholes, stretch panels etc while MAINTAINING quality, but to make such drastic changes is quite the gamble when your price point has not diminished along with the quality. I have been a lulu lover since the beginning, it is literally all I wear. I have at least 10 hoodies currently, many grooves, stills, WU's, stride jackets, Define's, Tanks, Bra's headwear etc, and I am not impressed with the majority of changes in the past year. A lot of the prints have become tacky and/ or lifeless IMO, especially what is available for purchase on your website. Do people in rural areas not deserve access to pretty colors and prints also? Seriously disappointed customer right here. I have spent thousannds and thousands of dollars of my hard earned money on items that now lack the quality and function that once made lulu stand out from the pack. I never thought I would see my brand loyalty swayed like this, but to cheapen almost ALL garments and pass them off as improvements is Low. Not what I expected from my beloved lulu. :(

New design is CHEAP!

Bring back the longer, thicker, lined hood. Why in the world would I PAY $108+ dollars for a cheap hoodie??????? Not impressed.

Totally agree with the comments-- "Don't fix what isn't broken." On that note, there are shorter lulus (at about 5'7," I am not one of them), who benefit from the shortened length. Hey Antonia, why not make a short one (ie. Petite size) AND the original length? I know... genius!

As for the lining, the rationale for removing it makes no sense. Please don't insult your customers (by using the word "improved") who are already overpaying for products.

Lululemon, you had so much positive feedback on the original scuba. There is an entire, very large, customer base who want the ORIGINAL scuba, and will likely purchase it in whatever colors you choose to produce. You want your money, and the people want their original scuba. I see only one (very simple) solution....

Had a good laugh reading all the comments and lack there of with the responses from Lulu themselves. Have to agree with everyone. Went to buy a new one and ended up buying a TNA one instead.

The thing is if their product lasts for years they can't make even more money. So they cheap out and unline the hoods and tell us it's bulk? Honestly how much bulk is a thin piece of cotton in the hood? And it's true the lining keeps the hood looking newer longer.

Shortening the length means less money spent on fabric. But they say it's what we want? Who really wants a short hoodie? That everytime you lift your arm or bend over your back shows? Not me.

Giant FAIL

So disappointed with the new design. I can understand wanting to update or come up with variations of a design, but why do away with one of your most popular and signature items? Isn't the above feedback enough to bring the design back? I would easily have spent $300+ at Lululemon every month or so if you had kept the original Scuba. Now I'm not so sure. :(

I received a new scuba for Christmas and I'm soooo disappointed. It doesn't fit nearly as well as my other one, and I didn't understand why until I came here and saw that it is a new design. I can't properly express my frustration and disppointment. Bring back the old design, please!

Was very sad when I went into Lulu this December.. I was just so excited to buy a new Scuba.. I was so dismayed to find that the side panels, thickness and length has been removed-- I am 6' and Canadian-- I rely on these clothes to be functional for work.

Well it looks like this company has "jumped the shark."
Not only did I love your products, but I am also a stock holder in the company. Why change a good thing? Some of us live where it gets really cold for months on end and the thick scuba was heavenly on a frigid winter day. I have a thinner Lululemon jacket, it's called my Define jacket. I feel like the original scuba was the center of your company. Why stray from a winning formula? Were sales of the original scuba dropping? I feel like it is nothing but downhill from here for Lululemon. This change has opened my eyes to the writing on the wall for the direction of the company. Business 101: You don't mess with a winning formula. Going to be selling some stock soon.

Do not like this new hoodie. Just bought a Scuba hoodie in my usual size, but was in a rush at the store, not realizing it's this new Stretch. I'll be taking it back, as it's not even close to being up to the old standard. It doesn't fit comfortably without the side panels and the unlined hood looks cheap. You could easily get something the same for less than half the price almost anywhere else. This, combined with my new wunder unders that pilled on the thighs after only 4 or 5 wears, has turned me off of Lulu. They can kiss the $300-$400/month I give them goodbye.

+1 for another lost customer
The "new" scubas feel cheap, look cheap, leave all sorts of fuzz on things worn underneath, are not warm at all, and are way too short.
I got one and the first question out of a friend's mouth was "is that from Wal-Mart?" ... seriously, she barely picked it up before saying it too.
It is obvious that the changes were done to decrease cost and increase profit.
Sad to say, but lululemon is no longer a leader and no longer worth the money.
