my goodness, my green smoothies

green smoothies - green juice - st. patrick's dayNothing like a green smoothie to start St. Paddy’s day off right – what you drink after that is none of our business.

• a thumb of fresh ginger
• some frozen blueberries

o’range, banana and spinach smoothie

note: steph suggests using a Vitamix based on personal preference but believes any blender will do.

ingredients:
 • 1 frozen banana
• a heaping handful of spinach or kale (both delicious!)
• 2 baby cucumbers
• 1 orange (peeled)
• a handful of strawberries (frozen from the summer are my favourite!)
• 1 tablespoon E3Live BrainON
• a splash of coconut milk.

optional:
• 1 scoop of Vega powder (chocolate is my flavor of choice)

My favorite green drink for St. Patty’s Day? FROZEN MOJITO SMOOTHIE!

The best of both worlds….that cocktail taste, without all the calories and bad effects of the alcohol.

Frozen Mojito Drink Recipe
Handful of fresh mint (about ½ cup)

Juice of 1 lime

1 cup spinach

1 banana

¼ cup water (or club soda)

Ice

Dash of honey – optional

Great blog everybody! I might be game to try the ‘untraditional Irish Breakfast’… the almond butter and almond milk looks like it adds a lovely creaminess to it. Thanks for sharing! xo

Mmm…those green smoothies all sounds wonderful! I am definitely going to be making myself something green and refreshing! :)
Dorry – I love how your recipe is made with ingredients I already have in my kitchen! :) And I love the idea of adding amazing grass for added nutrition – I’m going to be commuting soon, and this will be a great way to get goodness and veggies on-the-go! Thank you for sharing such a rad post! <3 xyx

Love these smoothies! I would add a half to a whole avocado to all of these too – creamy, fatty, and long burning fuel – loving the blended greens! Great post:)
