our warehouse sale is touching down in hamilton!

The warehouse sale crew

(Psst... This is so 2009. Check out the details for the 2012 lululemon warehouse sales happening in Ottawa and Chicago.)

There has been months of secret preparation. A total of 210 educators have been hired. And one stellar city has been chosen to surprise and delight our guests: Hamilton Ontario!

Starting tomorrow we are touching down in Hamilton for 4 days between Thursday, July 23th - Sunday, July 26th at the Hamilton Convention Centre for the warehouse sale to end all warehouse sales!

Our team has been in this community for a few weeks checking out yoga studios and fitness centres, hanging out with athletes and yogis, cheering on the Tiger Cats at the home football game, and eating yummy food - all while being welcomed with open arms!

The goods

We chose the perfect location in the heart of downtown, received the product drops, have had late night set ups, organized everything, got the sound system set for bumping beats, have deals that will make you think we are calling fouls, and have done this all with smiles on our faces! Yes, we really are this chipper!

Place: Hamilton Convention Centre

Game time:
Thursday, July 23, 2009 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Oh no. Guess I’ll miss it. Will there be another warehouse sale coming soon? It’s hard to match up what is in stock at the store and what is in stock on the website. Oh well.

Wish it were possible to attend & buy items online!!!

will there be mens apparel

Comment by Scott — July 22, 2009 @ 6:04 pm

are you going to have a warehouse sale in London, Ontario?

Comment by Elysa — July 23, 2009 @ 9:36 am

4 hours wait to get in. But worth it per my beautiful niece.

Comment by Barb — July 23, 2009 @ 10:18 am

Is there going to be Men’s stuff on sale as well?

Comment by Darron — July 23, 2009 @ 11:03 am

Really disappointed!! Drove in from T.O. The convention ctr. is really not accessible. Lineup from the highway. Parking lot was full. Line up to get in was 10 blocks long. And that was Thursday morning at 10am. Can’t imagine what the weekend will be like. Total waste of a trip, since I have a 10-month old, and couldn’t wait to get in. As a LOOOONG time customer, I was totally put off. Hamilton was a poor choice of locales.

Comment by Naomi — July 23, 2009 @ 11:03 am

Actually Naomi, had you come early, you would have found no trouble. We lined up at 7 am and were by 10, we had finished shopping and were on our way home. Perhaps it was a poor choice of planning on your part.

Comment by Andrea — July 23, 2009 @ 11:52 am

4 hr wait for nothing. Big Time disappointment, it wasn’t even a sale. The Discount was less than 10%. I could have saved the gas and parking money and shopped at my local store.
I love your clothes but not your Sale.
Time waster

Comment by Sherry — July 23, 2009 @ 12:14 pm

Hey where will the next warehouse sales be??

Comment by Casey — July 23, 2009 @ 12:34 pm

How were the deals?? Can you give some details?? I was thinking of venturing there tomorrow. Will they add new stock??

Comment by Monica — July 23, 2009 @ 12:48 pm

I waited quite a bit…. but TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!!!

I got my favourite tank top for $32! I spent sooo much money on my favourite stuff! looooooooooooooove this stuff.

Comment by Natalie — July 23, 2009 @ 1:17 pm

Wow Andrea, you’re just a little bit out of line there. I’m seriously hoping you’re no older than 16 or that you are experiencing a nasty period. Perhaps she’s just advising others who may not want to waste hours of their lives away over a clothing sale. After all she did mention the 10 month old baby. Not everyone has the chance to get there for 7 am. It would appear from all the blogs and updates I’m reading that if you can’t get there for 7 am thats going to be the case. How about relaxing a little bit; maybe learn to think about how people may feel by the words you speak before speaking them.

Comment by Shannon — July 23, 2009 @ 1:19 pm

Hey everyone!

The deals are really amazing!!!!! There is product inside that people are loving. We are moving through the line fast and have tons of staff ready to help with everything! Come check it out as we are having surprises ALL the time inside. ;)

Comment by lululemon — July 23, 2009 @ 1:23 pm

my friend waited in line for 5 hours in the pouring rain, and said the deals weren’t that great. When she got to the check out, someone bumped into her from one side, while someone else stole her cell phone out of her hand on the other side. Where is your security?

P.S. $32 for a tank top? Thats considered a deal??

Comment by Shannon — July 23, 2009 @ 2:09 pm

Does anyone know the price hoodies? I’m thinking about going there tomorrow and wanted to know if it was worth it.

Thank!

Comment by Sherry — July 23, 2009 @ 2:43 pm

Went Today…
Stood in line for SEVEN hours in the pouring Rain…
Well worth it!

Comment by Steph S — July 23, 2009 @ 2:44 pm

From past experience, the price is the HIGHEST the first day…by sunday everything can be as much as $20 or more CHEAPER! That’s why i’m waiting till the last days to go.

Comment by Patricia — July 23, 2009 @ 2:44 pm

My cousin and I started waiting at 8:30 am and were in by 2:00 because it was packed.
It was OUR own fault for not being there at 7:00am. Bad planning on my part.
The people I was with in line were really upbeat and kept things light. I think a lot of ppl just got stuck beside miserable people.
Lots of people also had babies and little ones and they all seemed fine.
There was also cheap parking in a lot of places if you looked. I only paid $4 for all day.
We also took turns getting snacks and the wait was worth it even though the rain sucked.
In addition to minimum 40% off regular pricing if you made it through and chose all your product within 30 minutes they gave you an additional 10% off of the already reduced prices.
They kept replenishing if you waited but some people were impatient. I spent $140 and got a bag, a pair of long pants, a pait of capri pants and a shirt. In the store that would have easily been over $300 dollars.
It was worth the wait and I would gladly wait another 5 1/2 hours if they decided to come back. ( but next time i would probably line up at 7am)

Comment by Rose — July 23, 2009 @ 3:35 pm

No Point! i lined up at 11:30am and i got in at 5:30pm all that time I waited for dispointment! i did not purchase one item. Niether did the people i went along with.We shopped in the sections from sizes 4-10 and nothing. 10 dollars off is not a warhouse sale. They did not have the thick sweaters everyone loves! actually i found one single thick sweater in the store and it was a whole 10 dollars off a hippi colour regurgitation design. plus they robbed Beatle Juice`s closet and put his famous yoga pants on sale for 60+. if you wanted something half descent you had to cough up 80+ for a nice pair of pants.

Comment by Stace — July 23, 2009 @ 7:32 pm

Whoohoo! So excited to have my *new* stuff. . .Not quite as excited to get up a 6 am to use it but. . .c’est la vie.

Comment by Jen — July 23, 2009 @ 8:14 pm

HELP!! I need a contact number!! I just got home from the sale and I looked in my bag and two items were missing I have my receipt and I live in Pickering. Who can I contact to get my stuff?

Comment by loni_low — July 23, 2009 @ 8:33 pm

I went thursday morning. 5+ hours to get in. Some good deals, but I expected a little better pricing considering the wait time to get in. Selection and sizing was very good considering the volume of people going in and out of the sale all day long. There was still a ton of stuff (the best stuff like hoodies & bags were gone pretty well instantly)and they are apparently restocking. There were great people in line to chat with though, so the time went by a little faster. If you don’t mind spending a long time in a line-up to save an average of about 30%-40% or so, then it will be well worth-it for sure!! If you’re going for hoodies; there was not a hoodie or bag in the place by 5pm & the groove pants were only like $10 off. :(

Comment by Jenn — July 23, 2009 @ 10:14 pm

Never again is all I have to say. Was in line for 4 hours and just when you think you’re in after getting a bracelet.. You have to line up check in your purse. You can only bring your method of payment and if it is credit card you have to have your driver’s license with you. Then you line up again to get in to start your shopping. No deals here ladies. Midnight Madness sale downtown Oakville last Friday was better if not the same. $36 for a plain v-neck tshirt?? Though the sizes where sectioned off there were sizes in the wrong area. You’re better off picking on the stuff from the change room. That’s were I found two jackets at $69 and 2 capris at $45. You tell me if that’s a deal.

Comment by Tracey — July 24, 2009 @ 6:30 am

Hey everyone!

We have kicked off day 2 of our warehouse sale and we already have people inside having a blast and getting great deals!
Hamilton has definitely shown their love for lululemon and we saw the city braving the rain yesterday!
We are getting the lines going as speedy as possible so everyone can join the party inside as we are constantly restocking the floor!

See you all soon!

IS THERE ANY MENS CLOTHING?

Comment by Paul — July 24, 2009 @ 7:45 am

Paul, we have an entire men’s section here organized in size racks!

Comment by lululemon — July 24, 2009 @ 8:12 am

What’s the wait time right now?

Comment by Jen — July 24, 2009 @ 9:44 am

Hi, just wondering if there are changerooms? Also, if we buy pants can we then bring them to our local store to have them hemmed?

Comment by katie — July 24, 2009 @ 10:11 am

The wait time is going by fast, people who were in line at 1pm waited less than an hour to get inside!

We have change rooms for both men and women. You can bring your pants to any lululemon store and you can have complimentary hemming done!

See everyone soon! Belly dancing while you are you in line? Only at a lululemon warehouse sale!

Comment by lululemon — July 24, 2009 @ 11:04 am

What would be the chance of getting in tonight if we got there at 7pm?

Comment by Linda — July 24, 2009 @ 2:19 pm

any update on the wait time?

Comment by kiki — July 24, 2009 @ 3:10 pm

The lines are speeding up – we have just been advised that people are waiting less than an hour now.

We are expecting the next 2 days to be shorter lines – that means more time shopping!!!

Comment by lululemon — July 24, 2009 @ 3:31 pm

The lines are going quickly and people are in the warehouse sale within an hour this afternoon!

Comment by lululemon — July 24, 2009 @ 3:46 pm

hi, i was wondering what the method of payment is?
do they accept debit?

Comment by lena — July 24, 2009 @ 7:01 pm

Very disappointed in the selection. Drove from out of town and waited 2 hours to get in. Would have loved to have gotten a new hoodie and there were none to be found. The clothing that was on sale seemed as though they were the cast offs that weren’t selling in the stores. Not a good showing of your clothing line.

Comment by Ann — July 24, 2009 @ 7:57 pm

I went tonight @ 7:05pm – got in @ 8:15. Not too bad, tried Thursday morning, now way…line to long. I was disappointed in the availability. Being a size 12-14, there was only 1 rack with bras and yoga tops. However, if you are a size 6, you were totally in luck…racks everywhere with size 6′s.

Comment by Carroll — July 24, 2009 @ 9:05 pm

hey, i might be able to stop by this afternoon! will there still be hoodies and any black pants?? how will the lines be and will you be cutting them before 7? i might get there at 6:30

Comment by steph — July 25, 2009 @ 8:31 am

UNBELIEVABLE! I stood in line from 7:45am got in at 11am and walked out with NOTHING. We had to check our purses…which we were NOT told about by the girls with the megaphones….and they RAN out of size 14 before we got in there….had hardly any 12, or 10s and what they had was CRAP. There will NEVER be a next time…I will NEVER do that again….especially being 6 months pregnant! Maybe the staff with the megaphones can let people waiting know that they are out of sizes and ARE NOT replenishing like they said they were…so people don’t WASTE THEIR TIME!

LULULEMON SUCKS!

Comment by Trish — July 25, 2009 @ 8:39 am

how’s the line up now? Any good selection for size 6?

Comment by dimps — July 25, 2009 @ 9:48 am

got there at 8am. in by 11am. was really really dissappointed with the lack of variety in szes 8 10 and 12.Don’t know about other szes? I do agree with the comment on saving the gas and shopping locally. Looking for great stuff to work out in and for leisure wear, but nothing to be found. Love lulu, but feel that if your going to hold a sale, merchandise should be replenished, or let people know that there is a lack of szes. would never ever go to a lulu warehouse sale again. would have been happy with just a hoodie
at least!!Music , way way too loud. my daughters ears were bugging her.The discounts were insulting, and so is wasting peoples valuable time. shame on you lulu.

Comment by alex — July 25, 2009 @ 1:05 pm

Went yesterday and waited in line for an hour and a half. Selection is poor . I did however get two hoodies at $89 (not a great deal). Tank tops for $32 capris for $45 and that is suppose to be a warehouse sale that people wait for hours to get in… I will never do it again…I’d rather go to the store and pay the extra $15-$20 and avoid all the line ups and the scavanger hunt.

Comment by mary — July 25, 2009 @ 1:37 pm

We want to thank everyone for sharing their experience from the warehouse sale over the past 3 days, and look forward to meeting more of you tomorrow 9am-5pm!

to all you pregnant women and those with children
-please stop complaining that the line ups were too long, or that you couldn’t find anything, or that you can’t stay too long. Find a babysitter or better yet keep your babies and your massive strollers at home where they belong.

-My experience was great, waited for a fair amount of time but it was worth it because I got everything I came there for.

P.S Go Andrea!

How does inventory look for the last day? Looking for Men’s size large. Stopped by late on Thursday and the racks were virtually empty.

Comment by jeff — July 25, 2009 @ 7:05 pm

I think we can all agree that we love wearing lulu clothing, but lets be fair to all these women who are possibly on a budget, have or are starting families, and do find it unbearable to stand hours on end for a very small savings!! So for you Andrea, to voice, once again your immature and insulting and hurtful comments
is very very rude. Your parents should be disgusted.

The line was long but it moved very quickly, yesterday afternoon. If you went with expectations of getting specific items, you were likely disappointed but if you just wanted some fun shopping and to find fabulous workout wear, you likely came away satisfied.
Moms with babes deserve to shop like anyone else and if you’re a nursing mom, leaving your baby at home is not an option. In fact, leaving your baby at home isn’t an option for many moms. I didn’t see a single ‘massive’ stroller but there was room to move either way, if people were behaving reasonably.
I will be sad if what I heard about prices being slashed to $35 for everything but who knows if what I got would still be available today.
Enjoy the sale for what it is – an opportunity for Lululemon to move overstock and past season styles, along with some of the more current product into our closests for less than their original mark-up. Go and have fun!

I just want to say that I had a GREAT time at the sale over the last few days. I went first on Friday afternoon, only waited about an hour and a half and found some great stuff! I went back this morning (Sunday) at 7:15 am, and got in at about 9:55. It was definitly worth the wait! All of the prices were dropped to below $35!!! I did notice that the workers were bringing out new stuff often, but unfortunitly I wasn’t able to get a bag.
I had an over-all great expeirience, the only thing i didn’t like is having parents bringing there elementry kids, im sure they would have had a much better time staying at a friends and not waiting in line, it would have probably been a lot easier on the mums to get that hail mary too ;).
I hope that a lululemon store will open in the area in the future and possibly another warehouse sale ?? ;)

Comment by Katie — July 26, 2009 @ 3:56 pm

Yesterday I got a GREAT DEAL that everyone did not look for. I got 1 running tight (regular price $86) and 1 ta ta tamer sport bra (regular price $58). I got “Hail Mary” too. So I paid only $50.85 incl. tax. I saved more than $100. I was very trilled about my purchase. Thank you so much Lulu. Love you.

I am writing this letter regarding your Hamilton warehouse sale last week, my friends and I drove 2.5hrs to get to your sale and then waited 4.5 hrs to get in, in the rain. Once we got inside we were told by the employees that they were only allowed to put out a limited amount of products leaving some for the people who would show up the next day? Which left a large amount of clothing in size 8 and under and nothing in a size 10!!! Also the sales people were very rude when we were asking for direction and assistance. I think when you advertise these sales you should be clear that you limit the among of products that are actually available and tend to stock for the size 8 and under crowd, There was a lot of ladies very disappointed in this sale and the way we were treated by your staff. Not to mention the half a day we took off of work to drive 2.5hrs to be treated unkindly.
Sincerely Shantel Freeburn

It has been great to receive feedback on the ‘big event’.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences with us.
Good and bad – it all helps us to plan for even better warehouse sales in the future.
Enjoy your purchases!

Hi Shantel,
I’m sorry to hear you didn’t have a very good time at the warehouse sale and left feeling dissapointed and like you were treated unkindly. This is never our intention when we put on events like this, so thank you so much for your feedback! I will pass it on to our warehouse sale team to take in to account for future warehouse sales.

Comment by carole — June 16, 2010 @ 9:33 pm

Hey Carole!

our warehouse sales like the one we had in Hamilton always very for time and placement. As yet we haven’t heard anything about having one this year. Normally it will be announced to the public a week or so before it happens, so it is always a surprise when it happens.
If you are looking for markdown items are the moment, I’d suggest taking a look at our loot section online.

Comment by Jenna — June 17, 2010 @ 3:23 pm

Hi Lululemon,

I tried very hard to find out when the warehouse sale was (date/time/location) and I couldn’t find it anywhere until now.

Where do I sign up to receive the warehouse sale alerts?

Thank you.

Hi Kat,
We don’t have any details about if or when we will be having a warehouse sale this year. We will definitely be updating our website if we receive any new information or details. Our Facebook page would also be a good source to get updates on events like our warehouse sales: http://www.facebook.com/lululemon. Thanks for your interest!
