ride & reach: mountain biking & yoga retreat

Ride-and-Reach-with Ryan LeechOur bodies are feeling a little battered and bruised lately; trying to make the most of summer and inspired by the exploits of the Tour de France riders to go for long runs and bike rides. Our regular yoga practice goes a long way to strengthen our muscles and ease those aches and pains; Ryan Leech, lululemon Elite Ambassador, certified yoga instructor and mountain biker extraordinaire, is taking it to the next level.

what's going on locally?

With only 15 spots available, this may seem like a bit of a tease but we thought we'd share the love and hopefully get a little love in return. If you know of other workshops like this one in your area, let us know. If you need help finding yoga (closer to home than Canmore), your local lululemon store can connect you with yoga studios and styles.

Great combo, the craziness of mountain biking and the regenerative qualities of yoga. Keep it going!

Every element of this workshop exudes excellence from Ryan’s skillful approach to sharing his love and the benefits of both yoga and cycling, to the peaceful sanctuary of the Gaia yogo studio, to the natural beauty and diverse terrain of the Nordic Centre’s Trails, to the welcoming, homey, delicious atmosphere at the Paint Box Lodge. If I can get the day off work. I’ll be there. Check out his link regarding Ryan’s approach to yoga and cycling.http://www.nsmb.com/3470-ryan-leech-and-yoga/

Love this “ride and reach” retreat idea! You asked for some local workshops like this to share, and anyone in the Midwest looking for an yoga adventure workshop should check out a similar “climb and reach” weekend on the bluffs at Devil’s Lake State Park in southern Wisconsin. Rock climbing, outdoor yoga, meditation and camping with Power Adventures and Chicago-area certified yoga instructors. Next weekend is coming up: June 1-3, 2012. http://www.poweradventures.org.
