Yay for setting goals! I'm ready. Starting a vision board and going to do a little bit each day (including my yoga practice) as best as I can everyday. I feel excited again! Thank you!

Accountability is one of the best ways to stick to your goals. If you have goal setting partner to do that with, or a goal setting group where you are following up and supporting each other with your goals - even better.

Jordan and Carolyn,

Thank you for the response/info. :) I was actually just looking at frames in my parents basement this weekend thinking about doing something similar. I have to find something I can paint over! I will keep an eye out for a great frame and fill it with a creative space. I was also thinking about painting part of a wall with the chalkboard paint. I'm transforming my apartment into a space dedicated to Dream Actualization so I might need a wall. Thanks again for sharing some of the ways in which folks in the Lulu community have created their own tools!

The community effort is awesome--so very much appreciated.

Hey Sarah,

Carolyn made the chalk boards herself by taking an old painting in a cool frame and then painting the painting itself with chalkboard paint (that's a lot of painting!). She said it was super easy. Have fun creating your goals and vision!

In really honoring my goal setting process and setting myself up for making goal setting and focusing a regular part of my life, I am looking for some of the great physical tools like a beautiful chalk board, cork boards etc...Carolyn, can you share where you got your beautiful chalk board? I am realizing that I might need to make one, but I thought I would ask you first ;) Thank you for the inspiration!! Big hugs, Sarah

I listened to this great podcast on Goal Setting from a guy called Bevan James Eyles. He seems to be a top fitness professional. This was a different take on goal setting and it opened my eyes on how to be more successful in doing it. You can get it here: http://www.bevanjameseyles.com.../

Hey there Carolyn,

Awesome post! I absolutely love how creative, ingenious and fun these are. Definitely do some of them (like the framing) and definitely going to implement a few in the near future :D

Say, I have a quick question for you about Lululemon and yoga and blogging. I practice Bikram, am on track to do teacher training in the spring, and I keep an active blog of my yoga adventures at Alive in the Fire (see link for my website). Is there any way I might be able to partner with Lululemon or do any sort of review/ contest/ sponsorship where I post about the gear and my experience using it?

I saw that you offer this for the R&D team of current teachers but was wondering if there's any sort of program for other yogis out there :) Perhaps I should contact my local store as well (some of the girls I know there also attend my studio) but just wanted to check! Feel free to contact me with any info you have.

Much appreciated -- namaste!

Such a great idea, Matt! The more people you share your goals with, the more people there are to hold you accountable! It also provides a little extra motivation - if your friends are also sharing their goals with you, you might be more inspired to continue with your own goals. Thanks for sharing!

I love how you framed that chalkboard! And yes, I put both goals and mantras into my passwords. I'm not the type of person who can look into the mirror and give myself positive affirmations without feeling like a total dork, but typing them in as a password 20 times a day has a positive effect. ;)

Good ideas here. My favorite way to set goals is to write them down for myself and then tell a few of my close friends about them. Then, I like to talk to these friends about my progress, good or bad, as a way of holding myself accountable for my efforts. It really helps me get stuff done.
