wanderlust tremblant recap

David Good lululemon yoga ambassador reflects on his experience at Wanderlust Tremblant.

As I boarded the train leaving Montreal I got a bit teary eyed thinking about my weekend at Wanderlust and how blessed I was to have been a part of Wanderlust’s first year in Mount Tremblant, Quebec. My heart was over flowing with meeting so many awesome people and a part of me wasn’t ready to leave yet.

This Wanderlust was a bit different because it was bilingual, classes were offered in French and English. I have to admit I was a bit nervous about the French part but soon learned yoga is universal. Hundreds of yogis were there to share their common passion for yoga and this kind of love has no boundaries. Wanderlust creates the biggest yoga tribe around, full of incredible teachers, rad yogis, inspired musicians and the most awestruck surroundings provided by mother nature herself.

If I had to pick one thing that truly stuck out this weekend it would be friendships. From driving up with Yasmin Fudakowska-Gow (Yoga Teacher from Montreal) to meeting up with an old friend Andrew Bathory (Yoga Teacher and lululemon Ambassador), the whole weekend was one big love fest with so many big hugs from teachers and students shared throughout the days. I kept running into people who I already had a connection with through avenues of social media like Eleana Brower who gave me a big shout out in class when she recognized me and helped me rock out an awesome full wheel and Peter Jack Rainbird who's music I have been playing in my Restorative Yoga classes for months now and am so smitten.

Everyone was so down to earth as we all had time to hang out in the sun between classes at the lululemon d’Om. I shared a great conversation about yoga music with East Forest and chatted with Janick Leonard about how the idea for Wanderlust Tremblant was born. Yogis packed the local Juice bar, Fluide and that’s where I ran into Eoin Finn, my yoga brother from another mother.

As my train pulled into the station back home in Toronto I knew the biggest thing that stuck with me was how huge this yoga community really is and how blessed I am to be a part of this revolution. Sometimes I have to pinch myself that I am a yoga teacher and I get to share my passion with so many people.

Thanks @lululemonlive for letting share my adventure. I will see you on the mat one day soon.

I love Mont Tremblant! When I went there a few summers ago, I was just getting into running, yoga, and my love for being outdoors. Back then, I went on the zip-line, and I did not see any yoga events like this one, but if I had, it would have been the perfect trip.

For anyone searching for a little slice of heaven, vacation in Mont Tremblant!
