we’ve gone mobile

iphone screenshot-shop mobile

Fear not, the days of pinching your screen and squinting your eyes on your mobile device are over.  We have officially optimized the lululemon.com website for iPhones and Blackberries (OS6 and up) and we couldn’t be more excited.

we've gone mobile

As of August 2nd, you can browse through our ever changing product selection and enjoy full access to our online store. You can stick around right through to the purchase of your order and, as always, enjoy our complimentary ground shipping.

get there faster

Did you know you can add lululemon.com right onto the homescreen of your iPhone? This makes navigating to our website fast and easy, and makes our website accessible just like an app.

Step 1:
Visit lululemon.com on your iPhone
Step 2: Click the “share” button in the bottom navigation bar
Step 3: Choose “add to homescreen”
Step 4: A pretty icon will show up – and you choose what to name it!

Voila! A lululemon icon will show up on your homescreen! Now you can visit our site quickly and easily from your phone.

We’ve invited you along for the ride while we continue to optimize the rest of our mobile site and would love your feedback and suggestions. Up next? We are optimizing the blog for mobile (of course) as well as making reviews and social sharing easier on the go!

Works great on Android version 2 phones too! Just browsed through on my Sony Ericsson Xperia X10.

Love the new mobile version! One suggestion would be to add in a link to look at reviews for each item. That would be great!!

Comment by Monica — August 15, 2011 @ 11:46 am

@Monica – love the reviews suggestion! Actually, that’s going to be included in our next round of mobile updates to the site, including social share functionality, and some design updates. Keep the feedback and suggestions coming – we’re glued to the screen capturing it all.

HI I can’t seem to get this to work on an iphone 4.3.5 (8L1)?? I navigated to lululemon.com and everything looks the same. :(

Comment by Ann — August 16, 2011 @ 6:33 am

@Ann So strange! Can you try “refreshing” the page or emptying your cache and cookies. To do this go to Settings > Safari > and empty cache / cookies. Let us know how this works. I’ve also updated our development team so they are looking into the issue as well. ~Carolyn

Seconding the Android comment! Looking great on my Galaxy S. :)

Comment by Naadia — August 16, 2011 @ 11:10 am

Hi I did all of that and still no mobile site. Can you post the URL? I have a 2nd generation iPhone. Thxs!

Comment by Ann — August 17, 2011 @ 6:27 am

@Ann – we figured it out FINALLY – sorry for the delay.

Go to your Safari Settings > Then make sure Javascript is turned on. My dad actually had this same problem. Turn JS on and you should be good to go.

Let me know how it goes! ~Carolyn

Works like a charm! Thank you for figuring this out. Js is turned off by default on iPhones. Thanks for all of your help!!

Comment by Ann — August 20, 2011 @ 5:46 am

The mobile site isn’t working on my iphone 4..? I’ve cleared the history, cashe, cookies… I’ve also checked that my javascript is on but it just keeps sending me straight to the ‘this just in’ section on the regular site???

Comment by Jolan — August 22, 2011 @ 12:14 pm

Jolan – that is so so strange. Can you take a screenshot of your settings page and send it to us at gec@lululemon.com? We have never heard of this before (especially since your JS is turned on) and we will have our tech team look into this immediately. Thanks so much for letting us know. ~Carolyn

I can not access your website from my verizon LG revolution. causes my broswer to crash everytime. please fix :)

Comment by chelle — August 30, 2011 @ 1:09 pm

Nice work on the site!

Comment by Dani — August 31, 2011 @ 5:18 pm

Hey @chelle –

This issue could mean a bunch of things:

1.) Cookies need to be cleared
2.) Cache needs to be cleared
3.) JavaScript is turned off

Try “refreshing” the page or emptying your cache and cookies. To do this go to Settings > Safari > and empty cache / cookies.

If that doesn’t work, go to your Safari Settings > then make sure Javascript is turned on!

Let me know how this works – I’m here to help you trouble-shoot!

On my iPhone 3Gs, I had to also make sure that the “block pop-ups” was off before I could get to your site. LOVE IT!! Thanks so much for the mobile edition!

Used to be able to access the mobile site on my iPhone. Then I looked at the full site to see reviews… Since then, I can’t get back on the mobile site. And, the main page keeps going directly to the “this just in” page. Help? Have tried all the tricks listed above;nothing has worked. Very frustrating. Thanks.

Comment by JL — September 9, 2011 @ 10:16 pm

Hi JL – thanks for your feedback on the site! What you’re refering to is already an outstanding issue on our site that we are looking into fixing immediately. We have requested to develop a link in footer that will help you, and whoever else has this problem, get back to regular site. We’ll be updating this post as soon as we have this link ready.

Thanks again for your feedback and please let me know if you happen to have any other problems on the site.

Can you access the mobile site on an iPad? Still a pain to search on iPad

Comment by Caroline — March 24, 2012 @ 10:59 am

Hey Lululemon!
First of all I love your products! With a yoga teacher and outdoor enthusiast for a Mom, we really love your store and are excited that you have gone mobile.
We (my mom and I ) have a website right now (yoga, health, happiness, nutrition, retreats etc.) that we are looking to take mobile.
Who/how helped you create your mobile site? Would love some info and advice. We love the layout of your mobile website.
Please let me know!

Hey Auburn,
Your site sounds stellar and I would love to check it out. For taking our site mobile we used an external partner. Typically this information isn’t something that we share. Thanks for reaching out though.

I used to be able to access the lululemon mobile website from my samsung galaxy s 3, I reverted back to the classic site to figure out sonething, and now I can’t seem to change it back to the mobile site… there isnt a link at the bottom of the page….

Comment by pam — April 15, 2013 @ 6:35 am

I too navigated away from mobile site to get the phone number for one of my local stores, and now I am unable to get back onto the mobile site. I just noticed the comment made by JL that it is an known issue and is in the process of being resolved, but that was back in September of 2011… has the issue been resolved? I miss my mobile site! :(

Comment by egglady — September 19, 2013 @ 4:27 am

Hi egglady,
I checked in with our mobile specialists and it sounds like you were trying to open up our mobile site on the new operating system as soon as we were testing it out to make sure our site was up and running. If you head on there now, the mobile site should be running smoothly.
