what do you run for?

run
Whether it’s for the good of our heart or out of the goodness of our heart, inspiration is what keeps us putting one foot in front of the other, even at mile 23.  Watch our Brentwood Ambassador
Blue Benadum as he trains (and inspires) educator Zoe for the 2011 New York Marathon.

Zoe runs for Shoe 4 Africa, others run for that hit of endorphins or peace of mind. For me, it’s always been about that decadent slice of Billy Miner Pie. What do you run for?

I run to build my lungs. I run to strengthen my heart. I run because I can. I run for my sanity. I run to organize my thoughts. I run for the health of it. I run because I love it. I run for me.

I run for a cause. This year I ran the Chicago Marathon for Team 2 End AIDS and raised money for awareness and for those who can no longer run. Crossing that finish line meant more to me than just covering 26.2 miles and crossing off a personal goal.

Plan on running many more – Boston Here I Come!

I run because it makes me overall happy. It clears my mind, calms my nerves, revives my body, and gives me an overall amazing and happy feeling. Running is one of my favorite parts of each day and miss it on my off days. It motivates me and helps me reach my goals. I hope I continue to run forever, it is my passion.

I run because I can. And if one day I can’t, I’ll look back and know I ran as much as I could while I could. No regrets.

I run for my beautiful mother who died of Leukemia when she was 36 years old. Running quiets my mind and feeds my soul. I run because it makes me feel alive.

I run to push myself physically and mentally harder than I could have ever imagine.

I run because it heals my soul and makes me feel alive. Running has helped me through the heartache of divorce, death and all the riggors and struggles of everyday life. I will run until I can run no longer ~ and then I will walk.
