My friend took me to my first yoga class. I’ve been an athlete my entire life and thankfully the class was challenging. I finished feeling completely refreshed. I had worked out physically, cleansed spiritually and emotionally and reset mentally! All guys love a challenge so bring him to a class that will challenge his body, mind and more importantly his ego.

I started into yoga with P90x. Awesome program and it starts out with an excellent start to the practice of yoga.

I started with home yoga, but watching videos and following along. I am a runner, so i thought it would be benficial for me. Later, i took my first class and i thought it was great! Anything physically challenging i love. You also have to not care what people think, because its hard to get out of the ‘only women do yoga’ stereotype.

I first was introduced to yoga by friends, tried it but never got into it, then just gave up. Several years later now, I’ve started to get back into shape, exercising, eating right, and running. Now that i’ve built up a good routine, I was looking for ways to improve outside of my comfort zone, thus discovering yoga again. Like Brendan, I was doing p90x and started doing yoga. Now after finishing the program I find that I am using yoga for: stretching, building core strength, relieve before and after running. I have to admit, i’m addicted to yoga now!

I started with the Jason Crandall home DVDs and still use them. I was trying to compensate for 12 years being hunched over a laptop 60 hours a week. I loved the concept of Bikram yoga so set myself a goal of being able to survive a 90 minute session at my local Bikram studio in 5 months. I did it and I am trying to build a regular Bikram practice now. The main thing seems to be … keep showing up!
