The first time I stepped on a yoga mat was in 2001 for reasons other than getting physically fit. At the time I was working 12-15 hour days teaching high school band (along with assisting in visual design and writing work for the color guard and winter guard programs) for a successful music program in Richardson, TX. Teaching movement classes, being an avid swimmer and dancing for as long as I can remember, I always considered myself to be in shape, but when I started teaching high school in 1996 it was the stress that took its toll on my physical being. Janie discovered the healing practice of yoga following the persistent encouragement of a dear friend to try a Baptiste Power Vinyasa class in 2000. The practice and the delivery of the message quickly found a place in her body, heart and soul. Daily practice lead to a deeper study of the art of yoga and ultimately to a calling to teach. Sharing the practice with others has enriched my life beyond measure. I experience each student as a teacher, both to themselves and to those around them. Crossfit Deep Ellum

Josh has played soccer his whole life, along with just about every other sport. In college, he ran the 1600 meters event. After almost losing his leg and life to severe knee surgery complications, Josh was told walking would be his daily workout, at best. He was not okay with retiring at age 18. So after six months of vigorous rehab and yoga, Josh attempted CrossFit for the first time. The next day, he was so sore that even getting out of bed was out of the question! Beyond Studios - Pilates

Kendall Coleman, a native Texan and forever Dallasite, began dancing at age two and continued to dance through high school as a Highland Park Belle. After graduating from the University of Texas in Austin (hook 'em) and returning to Dallas in 2007 for law school at Southern Methodist University, Kendall discovered her passion for Vinyasa yoga and the many benefits that a practice brings to your mind, body and soul. Along with her flowin', Kendall fell immediately in love with reformer Pilates at BEYOND Studios. She quickly began working to teach Pilates at BEYOND during her last year of law school in 2011. I am a Lead Instructor for Flywheel Sports Texas Region. I am currently based out of the Highland Park studio on Oaklawn. I can be found on the bike a minimum of 15 times a week. I also am extremely honored to be one of 13 hand picked Master Trainers by Jillian Michaels for her Bodyshred Program. I teach at Sweat Gym on Sat at 11am as well as Tom Landry Wellness Center on Tuesday evenings at 5:30pm and Wednesday at 6:15am. I am so proud to have my own business as a Personal Trainer called Shredded by Mark. I train out of Sweat Gym and offer individual as well as small group training.
