Chris Burch is a native of Des Moines, Iowa. His interest in running and community volunteering led him to his role as Director of Racing and Events for the IMT Des Moines Marathon, IMT Des Moines Marathon Running Club and the Road Runners Club of America State Representative for Iowa.
Chris received his Bachelor’s Degree from Iowa State University and Master’s Degree from Drake University in Corporate Communications. He is a graduate of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute and recipient of the Business Record 40 Under 40 award. Through his leadership, the IMT Des Moines Marathon has grown to include more than 80 sponsors, 1,500 volunteers and 6,400 registered athletes.
