Rox took her first yoga class in 2000, and has been hooked ever since! She has been able to expand and deepen her practice through many regional and national yoga workshops and teacher trainings - further pursuing the benefits yoga would offer. She has gained experience with a wide variety of teachers and styles of yoga through the past few years and honors all of the teachers who have brought her to this place in her life including Desiree Rhumbaugh, Sianna Sherman, Martin a]nd Jordan Kirk, Noah Maze among others. Roxianne has completed her 200 hr Yoga Teacher Certification and ANusara Inspired requirements and hopes to finish her full Anusara certification ( 500 hrs) this summer. Although at first yoga was merely a way to help focus her mind and energies in a stressful work environment and with a hectic schedule, it soon became a way of living and then something that she could no longer live without.

Rox’s goal in her teaching style is to bring people more into a place of balance - within their bodies, hearts and minds - and to see the empowerment and the peace that comes from taking the time and effort to look within.
This is much of what Roxianne feels she has gained from practicing and studying yoga through the past nine years. When teaching, Roxianne likes to focus on the universal principles of alignment while at the same time allowing her students to experience the benefits and enjoyment of the poses. Rox’s yoga classes are a mixture of energetic flow, reflective holding, playful challenges and deep exploration. Roxianne believes that her yoga students teach her as much as she teaches them and is grateful for such a beautiful sharing. Rox enjoys taking yoga classes as much as she enjoys teaching them.

Roxianne’s “day job” is that of a high school band teacher, and she is in her 24th year of teaching band in the public schools. Besides yoga and teaching music, her passions also include hanging with and taking care of her menagerie of “kids” – her three dogs, two cats and a parrot,; her perennial gardens ( that just keep getting bigger and bigger every year) , reading, traveling, and spending time and having fun with husband Andy, friends and family.
