Ed Cashin is one of the country’s most renowned fitness trainers, having enjoyed a 25-year career specializing in TRX, Russian Kettlebell, and sport-specific training.
Exceed Physical Culture was born out of Ed's desire to create a full-service functional fitness gym that caters to both small group classes and personal training. It is the first and only of its kind in New York City and the Hamptons. He feels clients should have a facility that allows them to vary their workouts in an atmosphere that inspires results. Simultaneously, he believes many of today's gyms are resistant to trainers' feedback. Exceed is an amalgam of all constructive feedback he has received from trainers around the world on what a fitness facility should be. Based on his 25 years of personal and client training experience, Ed developed the SUMMIT (Strength and Ultra Metabolic Movement Interval Training) method to revolutionize the fitness industry by bringing the best of personal training to a small group format.
In 1997, he established The Weekend Warrior Tours series, underscoring his belief in fitness as a way of life. Ed also co-founded Paddlers for Humanity, an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in East Hampton, NY that raises money and awareness for local and global organizations dedicated to bettering children's lives, and also supports local families in crisis and awards scholarships to local students.
