Laurel Shuttleworth

“Never stop learning…never stop growing” I first found my passion for cycling and traveling at 25, when I put my belongings in storage, bought a bicycle and headed off to New Zealand and Australia for seven months. That was, as they say, the beginning of a love affair that has endured to this day with fantastic travels, many of which have been accomplished by bicycle with my husband, Rick. Bicycle touring is the best way to see, feel and smell a country. Following my return from Australia, I took up cycling seriously and ultimately became a member of the Provincial Road Cycling team and was fortunate enough to compete in races across Canada until I left the competitive world of cycling. I am an active member of the athletic community, teaching cycling, step and Tae Box classes... Read the profile >>

Marti Thomson hails from Victoria, Texas. Her passion for sports and competition led her to a 20 year hobby in natural bodybuilding and figure competitons. Since she was a cross country runner and track athlete in high school, when the weather was bad, she would head to the weight room. She started lifting at the age of fifteen, and basically hasn't stopped since. It was the death of her father, in 1989, that turned her life into a sort of mission, if you will, to help others understand the importance of a very healthy lifestyle, with good stress management tools, and a strong and balanced...
