University of Alberta Track and Field
Kathryn McCaffrey is a University of Alberta Track and Field athlete and student who has been involved in individual competitive sports since she was seven years old. She began as as an Artistic Gymnast which she did For ten years. It wasn't until grade eleven that she fell in love with track and field and decided to leave her gymnastics career behind. After a year of general training, Kathryn decided to pursue sprint hurdles as her main event and has been doing them ever since.
With the constant influence of her parents: a 30 year Iyengar yoga practicing/instructing mother and a naturally athletic father as well as the past and present coaching influences from Jim Kosh, Linda Blade and alumni lululemon Ambassador Walter Dong, Kathryn hopes to compete in track for many years.
