"The moment I understood my yogic path was the moment I realized that what I created on my mat had a direct correlation to what I created in my life; if I could shift consciousness in one place, I could shift consciousness in the other. I could live yoga.

I dabbled with a yoga practice off and on as a form of physical exercise since 1999 but it wasn't until 2005 that I realized yoga was my gateway into living/breathing/experiencing some of the biggest questions I had struggled with my whole life: Who am I? Why am I here? What is the purpose?

In the spring of 2007 I completed the 200 hour teacher training program at Yoga Works with the inspirational teachers Jeanne Heileman and Carmen Fitzgibbon. I currently teach 9 group classes a week all over Los Angeles and work with a private clientele of individuals working in film, television, health care, education, design, government, hospitality and more.

I teach what I discover. Above all, yoga is a practice. I am constantly learning, exploring and opening to the vastness that is. My style blends many different traditions. I teach a hatha yoga / vinyasa flow drawing from the systems of Anusara, Asthanga, Viniyoga and Iyengar. My classes infuse athleticism with stillness: combining elements of strength, breath awareness, alignment, energy focus, curiosity and spirit. I strive to provide a foundation...a discipline...a structure for students to explore The Opening in a playful environment. " Jeff Bass
