Andrea Dyer, ERYT 500
Andrea, a self-described "yoga-mutt," took her first yoga class in college and became a serious student of multiple yoga styles in the mid-90's. A dedicated teacher, Andrea finds bliss in sharing yoga and is inspired by everyone she meets on her yogic path. Andrea’s classes reflect her passion for sharing yoga and her authentic, warm and light-hearted spirit. Her teaching style is greatly influenced by her teachers - Stephanie Keach, David Williams, Erich Schiffmann, Doug Keller, Sarah Powers, and Paul and Suzee Grilley.
Andrea’s continuing pursuit of yoga has led her to study with many other incredible teachers as well, most recently: Dana Flynn, Kira Ryder, Sadie Nardini, and Jason Crandall.
Andrea teaches a full range of classes: Ashtanga/Core Strength Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and Insight Meditation. She collaborates with Kristin Luna Ray and Joshua Cantor in the Bhakti Vinyasa Project and leads annual retreats with them in Costa Rica. Soon to be playing with her yoga practice on a SUP on one of Greensboro's lakes.
Andrea and her husband Jon established mind|body|fitness yoga as a haven for those seeking peace, warmth and self-realization. They promote peace through their commitment to helping the Urban Ministries Food Bank and the unemployed members of our community - the focus of their karma practice - conducting quarterly food drives and offering free and discounted yoga classes to make yoga accessible to all.
