“You. Are. An. Ironman.” Perhaps one of the most exhilarating phrases said during the most emotional time of any endurance athlete’s life. For Jennifer Lewandowski it was Whistler, B.C. in August of 2013. Years spent training in the water and on the road - be it on foot or on bike - proves Jennifer’s focus on fitness and health is more than a hobby but her passion. Personal fitness achievements aside, Jennifer also spends her time paying it forward. Her list of volunteer positions start in 2006 as a Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation Run for the Cure committee member, a position she held for three years. As a yoga teacher, Jolene has a way of challenging the physical and lighting up the spiritual in her students, helping them grow into their own greatest teacher. Common feedback from her students is "The most loving butt kicking you'll ever receive on your mat!" and her new favourite, "Your class is like church for me!" Jolene's earthy fluidity and deep trust in the spirituality of being human offers a graceful and creative approach to sharing the practice of yoga. Her own intimate relationship with yoga came after a bout of post-partum depression following the birth of her first child. Taylor was born and raised in Halifax, finding his love and passion for hockey from a very young age. Through the years hockey took Taylor to some places he wouldn't trade for the world, including Boston and Massachusetts, where he earned a scholarship to Brooks School, graduating with honours in pursuit of playing American College Hockey. He went on to play Junior hockey in Ontario the following year but felt his passion for hockey dwindling, and his passion for adventure growing. Tomomi Kojima is a 500hr certified yoga teacher as well as a coach, writer, pianist, lover of traveling, nature, vegetable and fun times. Tomomi loves and lives for the moments of change, shifts and possibilities that are characteristic of Vinyasa practice. Her passion in this tradition was born out of her own practice to find her inner rhythm, strength and clarity.
