Following a 15 year hiatus from amateur track/cross country running, in 2005 a co-worker encouraged her to come out for a lunch time run. While she enjoyed the fresh air, time away from her desk and the social side of this it was difficult to run even 3 miles. Denise stuck with it though every lunch hour and a short 5 months later Denise found herself on the start line of her first marathon. To everyone’s surprise, including her own, she ended up finishing as the top female in the 2005 PEI marathon and qualified for the prestigious Boston marathon by greater than ½ an hour. Needless to say she has been addicted to running ever since and has never looked back. In 2008 after only three years of returning to running she placed 11th female overall at the Boston Marathon. Jolene's earthy fluidity and deep trust in the spirituality of being human offers a graceful and creative approach to sharing the practice of yoga. Taylor was born and raised in Halifax, finding his love and passion for hockey from a very young age. Through the years hockey took Taylor to some places he wouldn't trade for the world, including Boston and Massachusetts, where he earned a scholarship to Brooks School, graduating with honours in pursuit of playing American College Hockey. He went on to play Junior hockey in Ontario the following year but felt his passion for hockey dwindling, and his passion for adventure growing. Tomomi Kojima is a 500hr certified yoga teacher as well as a coach, writer, pianist, lover of traveling, nature, vegetable and fun times. Tomomi loves and lives for the moments of change, shifts and possibilities that are characteristic of Vinyasa practice. Her passion in this tradition was born out of her own practice to find her inner rhythm, strength and clarity.
