CrossFit Oahu
I believe in fitness! But specifically, I guess I’m just afflicted with the condition of spreading the word about things that are important to me. When I was a regular cyclist I volunteered to be the secretary of the largest cycling club in Florida, constantly hosting events and encouraging others to join the sport. As a triathlete, I offered advice and support to absolutely anyone who expressed an interest in the sport. Now that I have settled on CrossFit, I have organized numerous classes for beginners so that they can enjoy the benefits without fear of intimidation. I implemented classes to help future brides get in peak condition before wedding day, and I have worked with numerous expectant mothers to maintain conditioning before and after childbirth. I want to reach out to as... Read the profile >>
Erika Eberhart
Honolulu Club/Hickam Air Force Base
Erika Lee Eberhart has been in love with athletics since childhood. She learned to swim and downhill ski by the age of 3. Shortly thereafter, her father, a retired Air Force 4-Star General, confidently took her training wheels off of her first bicycle, rolling her towards a lifetime passion for cycling. Erika moved 9 times and attended 13 different schools before she entered Clemson University in South Carolina, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Marketing. This seemingly "gypsy" lifestyle gave Erika a chance to do a number of sports while growing up. In addition to swimming, waterskiing, downhill skiing, and bike riding, she also played softball while living in Europe, and competed in crew (rowing) and cross country in high school in the... Guilherme Alves
I was born and raised in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil. My dad was a blues/rock n' roll musician, and a photographer, so I grew up listening to AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker and surrounded by art. My mom was always very supportive, (still is), and taught me how to speak english from a very early age. Almost became a professional cyclist, until my teenage years came, when I started doing what every teenager does at a certain point: partying, drinking and smoking... Needless to say that bicycle riding was not a part of the equation at this point. After that I got into skateboarding again, (which I was never really good at it), and started to learn how to play my dad's electric guitar. Me and my best friend started playing together, (he played the bass), and at the... Read the profile >>

Sharlene Bliss
Honolulu Club/ Kailua Movement Studio
For Sharlene Bliss, her path and calling to share her wellness practice arrived after decades of being a fitness student. She discovered Nia (neuromuscular integrated action) at Honolulu Club in 2002 and found that the practice and principles of Nia blended her wellness philosophy with her fitness activities. “After my first Nia class, I knew something had changed in my body - I was energized, sweating, relaxed, smiling, happy and pain-free,” says Sharlene. Besides enjoying Nia, Sharlene started to notice changes in her body. She lost weight and developed muscle tone, and health screening tests, like those for cholesterol, blood sugar, body fat, and blood pressure, all showed improvement. She took the week-long intensive training as a personal growth activity, with no... Read the profile >>
Todd Iacovelli
I was born right here in Hawaii, raised in Kailua. As a freshman in high school I stumbled into my calling of long distance running as I attempted to get in shape for basketball season. I embraced the consistency and enthusiasm needed to truly excel at running and worked to build myself from an awkward 15 year old into an efficient runner. Unfortunately, eleven years later I’m still relatively awkward, but have never lost the joy and appreciation of the purity of long distance running. When I went to college in 2002 at the University of Michigan, I struggled with injuries, however ultimately improved and set personal bests. I learned about the limits of my body and began to understand the art of working with your body to excel beyond previous limits. Now I’m back home. When not... Read the profile >>
