Laura Martini is an Okanagan based yoga instructor known for her ability to connect with her students and inject a sense of fun and enthusiasm into her teaching. Laura is certified in Kripalu and Yin yoga and has also studied with many internationally recognized yoga trail-blazers including Erich Schiffman, Seane Corn, Nicki Doane, Eoin Finn, and Mark Laham. With a commitment to compassion and the egoless nature of yoga, Laura encourages her students to find their edge and get to know their bodies and minds a little bit better.
Martini Yoga is a fusion of styles and postures that are specifically designed for our culture and our way of life. Martini Yoga classes are structured without being predictable, they are accessible for everyone, and they are never without a healthy combination of zen, fun, and compassion. Laura's students find themselves consistently gravitating towards her warm energy. Laura's relatability is undeniable; she has created a love for yoga within people of all different ages and levels of fitness. Her raw and unabashed ability to push people beyond their self-constricting ego is unique and is perhaps the reason why she has hundreds of students.
Laura grew up on a hobby farm in West Kelowna and was particularly passionate about theatre, dance, and debate. She first discovered yoga while in university studying to be an intelligence officer for the Canadian government. Soon, her hobby flourished into a full-time career and she now spends her days on her cruiser bike pedalling to and from the classes she teaches and takes. Laura lives in downtown Kelowna with her husband, Ryan, her dog, Frankie, and her cat, Professor Ferranti.
