Steve Omischl, a lululemon Elite Ambassador and the current world champion in the sport of freestyle aerials, was born and raised in North Bay Ont. and recently relocated to Kelowna, BC. Leading into the 2005 season, Steve is ranked #1 in the world after dominating in the World Cup tour in 2004. Winning 6 of 12 events, along with 3 silver medals, and performing some of the hardest jumps ever to be attempted in the history of freestyle sport; Steve has proven himself a talented and dedicated athlete. Steve has continued to prove his excellence winning gold at the world cup this year (2007) in February!

Not only is Steve an inspiring freestyle skier, he is an inspiring human being. He believes strongly in personal development and shares his knowledge and experience by speaking at schools and corporate events. Being extraordinarily humble and egoless, Steve views the world as a glass half full, seeing the positive power of choice in every situation.

When Steve isn't executing quadruple twisting triple flips on the ski slopes, you can often find this endorphin junky road cycling the beautiful orchard terrain of the Okanagan, riding his soft tail mountain bike down Excedrin descents, swinging his clubs on the golf course, and ending his action packed day with a Power Yoga class. Yoga is where he is able to stretch out his hard worked muscles and prepare for another day of rigorous training!
