Corrie made it from Seattle to California by way of a full swimming scholarship to the University of Southern California (USC). Corrie’s decorated swimming career includes winning US National Championships, being a US National Team Member, NCAA 2nd place finish, and a multiple Olympic Trial finalist. After retiring from pool swimming, Corrie started competing in ocean swimming events. Corrie has won the La Jolla Rough Water 1 Mile swim for the last three consecutive years along with winning several other ocean swim races throughout Southern California. Curtis has always lived with the knowledge that pushing himself beyond his limits both mentally and physically helps him achieve a calmer sense of being. He takes this knowledge and infuses it into everything he does in life. At a young age, Curtis discovered his desire to be surrounded by water and mastering techniques to move in this element. With his enthusiasm for pushing limits in the pool he became an accomplished swimmer and water polo player, competing for the University of California, San Diego for the Men's Water Polo Team. Emily has a background in dance, which originally led her to explore yoga eight years ago. Yoga healed her from chronic back pain due to scoliosis and helped her build a more peaceful and accepting relationship with her body. Since completing CorePower Yoga’s 200 hour teacher training in early 2007, Emily has continued to seek additional training from some of the leading yoga instructors nationwide. She has worked with and been inspired by Sharon Gannon and David Life, Seane Corn and Hala Khouri, Steve Ross and Jonny Kest.
