I was born in Toronto, Canada, and now live in Las Vegas, Nevada. I offer health and wellness guidance, teach yoga, and give Thai and therapeutic massage. Both personally and professionally, I’m sincere and passionate about being the best person I can be. In all I do, I strive to live an inspired life. I hope to motivate and educate others to do the same, to live to their fullest, most creative and authentic potential.
I teach group yoga classes and events, and assist teacher trainings at Sherry Goldstein’s Yoga Sanctuary. I also teach yoga at notable Las Vegas spas, private therapeutic facilities, Cirque du Soleil shows and Athletic Clubs, and have a large private client base throughout the city.
Currently enrolled in massage school, I am embracing what lies ahead and will graduate in February 2011.
My Path
I began my journey into the art of dance at a young age and have had the luxury of performing all around the world. The highlight of my career was my seven years kicking on stage as a New York Radio City Rockette.
With my vast professional background in dance, theatre, movement and fitness, I have a deep understanding of the human form and the knowledge to integrate physical, mental and emotional wellness.
My curiosity led me to yoga following an injury. What began as a search for physical strength and flexibility blossomed into a passion for something much more profound. I discovered an inner strength that I never realized was there. Today, my yoga practice is a spiritual and meditative exploration of a place where I feel safe and authentic.
My Inspiration
On my path, I have met many influential yogis who have inspired my practice and teaching methods. I continue to study different lineages, allowing my unique creative abilities to shine through a Vinyasa Flow style.
Living in a world defined by entertainment, my intention is to lead students out of their preoccupation with the ideals of outward perfection and help them tap into their inner truth of love, kindness, gratitude and joy. My challenging Vinyasa classes combine my knowledge of alignment, dancer’s grace and appreciation of music in a fun, flowing practice.
My Philosophy
My teaching begins with the simple truth that I love Yoga. Yoga was a gift that was given to me; inspired by the journey in my own life, I intend to share this gift to anyone who crosses my path.
I encourage students on the mat to trust their inner source of wisdom, to find their own inner teacher (sat guru) through each pose, one breath at a time. Through my love of alignment, I provide students a safe environment to explore, heal and integrate the body and mind. My style is the grace of dance merging with breath and spirit – a fun, creative, challenging Vinyasa flow that draws from a variety of disciplines.
A hallmark of my teaching is that no two classes are ever the same, either on a physical level or in the energetic realm. I like unpredictability, because it encourages students to stay aware in the present moment rather than switching to auto-pilot.
My hope is to leave students feeling peaceful, yet strong, and thus more open to face the challenges of life.
