"I am passionate about health and wellness and feel yoga is one of the best ways to understand, respect, and take care of your body. I take great joy in seeing my students grow, and love hearing how their practice is positively affecting their bodies and their way of life. As an instructor, I am very committed to a safe, well-balanced practice that focuses primarily on the breath, proper alignment, and getting a good sweat. I want to share the peace, joy and health benefits I’ve gotten from yoga with everyone, and I love that anyone can do it at any age!"

Gaia took her first yoga class in 2000 with Bryan Kest at Power Yoga in Santa Monica, California. By the end of Savasana, she knew that yoga was something she needed in her life. She bought a mat that very night and began taking classes there three times a week. After studying telecommunications and film production at Cal State Los Angeles University, Gaia began working in reality television in 2003. For Gaia, yoga brought some peace and balance to the stressful, time-consuming world of television and film production. Without realizing it, she began taking the lessons she learned in yoga off the mat and saw a wonderful change in herself and in her daily life; even friends commented on the changes they saw.

After moving to New York City in the summer of 2007, Gaia went from working at a post production house to various projects for MTV and Vh-1. While working on a documentary about Def Jam Records, in celebration of their 25th anniversary, she happened to hear mention of an upcoming yoga teacher training. She thought to herself, “If I didn’t have a career in production, I would love to do a teacher training and become a yoga instructor.” Not long after that, the show got cancelled. Gaia realized this was her chance. Family, health, and wellness were becoming more important to her than success in the production world, which required long demanding hours. She realized she never wanted to look for another production gig ever again. Gaia stayed in New York just long enough to run the 2009 New York Marathon, then she high tailed it back to Los Angeles for the sun, the beach, the mountains and the more peaceful, healthy lifestyle. She did some research, found YogaPoser, owned and operated by James Brown, a well renowned teacher and trainer, and began her journey to help others find their peace, balance, and the love and acceptance for their bodies which leads to a happy, healthy life.

Gaia is honored to be an ambassador for lululemon athletica. She is a certified yoga instructor, and is constantly continuing her education with workshops and programs. She is currently working towards her 500hr Master Yoga Teacher Certification.
