Erica Shepherd was drawn to Pilates during college while she was studying kinesiology and participating in various team and individual sports. She believed that it was the cross training and balance of strength and flexibility she achieved through Pilates that enhanced her athleticism and kept her injury free. A BASI Pilates Certified Instructor, PMA-CPT, and AFAA-certified teacher, she is the owner of an award-winning studio in Woodinville, WA called The Pilates Company. She specializes in injury recovery and post-surgery treatment, injury prevention for competitive athletes and postoperative rehabilitation for breast cancer survivors. Jason is a native to the northwest. He was born in Bothell, grew up in Everett and has lived in the Mill Creek area for the last 11 years. Growing up, Jason was an avid athlete; playing football, basketball and running track. He endured many sports injuries over the years that eventually led him to hang up his cleats. Due to lack of activity, two ankle surgeries and entering a busy corporate world, Jason began to pack on the pounds. In 2004, Jason discovered the mix of Bikram yoga and Power yoga and his life was transformed. Kate first discovered yoga while in graduate school when between classes she rolled out her mat at the local YMCA. Since that time she explored many styles of yoga and studied with a number of great teachers. Her life and practice shifted tremendously in 2010 when she decided to become a yoga teacher.
