Fusion Hot Yoga
In preparation for deployment with her US Navy Reserve unit in 2006, Rayne thought maybe she should try "that hot yoga" to prepare her for desert heat and help with tight muscles. She found it helped with that and so much more! In the short five weeks that she had before deployment not only was this the life changing practice that she needed to prepare her, but an experience that she wanted to share with as many people as she could. She returned from Iraq with just enough time to get her required solid six months of practice in to attend Bikram's Teacher Training in the fall of 2007.
Rayne started teaching in February of 2008 in San Francisco, gaining experience teaching with various school directors and senior teachers. You'll find that she teaches from her heart with compassion and encouragement; as well as from her own practice and understanding of what it's like to live in an injured or sick body due to years of stress put on her own body from sports and numerous high stress jobs that kept her on her feet all day long.
With a wide variety of careers and interests two constants have been anatomy and nutrition in this journey of health and well being, and to share the knowledge with others.
On August 27th of 2009 Rayne and her husband Corey welcomed a precious addition to their family, Cori Joy. Rayne practiced yoga in the hot room throughout her pregnancy, and was trained by Colette Crawford at The Seattle Holistic Center to teach and work with both prenatal and postpartum women. With her training and own personal experience she is passionate about working with anyone who would like to maintain or begin a yoga practice during the very magical time of pregnancy, as well as learn about the enormous benefits and reality of natural childbirth and nursing.
