I'm a graduate of The University of Wisconsin-Madison, have worked in television and event production since 1999 and am currently the Event Manager for Madison Mini-Marathon. A former Field Producer for the National news, I've been
able to combine my love of event coordinating with my passion of fitness! I still keep my foot in the television world by freelancing as an actor and on-air talent.
I’ve been with the Madison Mini-Marathon from the start and we’ll be celebrating our 5th anniversary this August. I’m responsible for recruiting and organizing 600+
volunteers and manage our day to day operations including; social media, sponsorship
opportunities, marketing team and volunteer recruitment.
I also work for Vision Event Management which owns the Madison Mini-Marathon and
produces more than 25 running events a year. This afforded me the opportunity to travel around
the country producing health and fitness expos and working on the Event Staff. You’ll
often see me working at the finish line at races we produce like: Chicago Half Marathon,
Georgia Marathon, Brewers Mini-Marathon and Summerfest Rock n’ Sole Run to name a
few.
I have a true passion for running! I’m an avid Marathon runner and triathlete and love
getting people excited about running. I’ve had the opportunity to coach new runners and
the enthusiasm and excitement they have is contagious! It’s so inspiring to see them
reach a milestone.
For more than 13 years I have been a certified fitness instructor. I actually began
teaching in the pool. I’m AEA certified and teach various formats in Water Fitness. I am
also the Water Fitness Coordinator at Prairie Athletic Club and the program leader for Yoga
at Prairie Athletic Club. My favorite classes to teach include: Les Mills BodyJam, BodyFlow, Yoga and Zumba. When not at Prairie Athletic Club, you can also catch me at Princeton Club West, Cherokee Country Club
and QBE.
My husband. John, and I enjoy traveling, spending time with family and friends, competing in triathlons together and a really great glass of wine. Buster, my English Springer Spaniel is my running partner.

Favorite quotes:

“Be so happy that when others look at you they become happy too.”
“Be weird. Be random. Be who you are. Because you never know who would love the
person you hide.”
“I never would have thought that one sport could change my entire outlook on life- until I
became a runner.”
