I am an E-RYT 500 and a Certified Anusara Teacher that believes yoga is an expression and celebration of the heart.
I first discovered yoga 15 years ago as a compliment to my dance training. I was a professional dancer touring all over the world with some of the best NYC modern dance companies. When I first moved back to New Jersey, I needed to find a morning class to keep up my training. The only class I could find was yoga, so I gave it a try and fell in love. There was a woman in my class with spiky bleach blonde hair in her 70’s. I remember her saying that her grandchildren thought she was the coolest grandmother ever because she could do a headstand. I, a professional dancer in my late 20’s couldn’t do a headstand! I realized then that I found a path that could last me my entire life. I stepped into it and never looked back.

In 2004, I completed my first 200 hour teacher training and have been teaching and studying yoga ever since. I have participated in teacher trainings and therapeutic trainings with John Friend, Ross Rayburn and Amy Ippoliti totaling over 500 hours in training. I recently completed a year long meditation and philosophy program “Entering the Heart of Shiva” with Paul Muller Ortega, which has been an incredible gift in diving deep into my own consciousness. Yoga, meditation and study are now an essential part of my everyday existence. I currently teach over 100 students a week at Yoga Montclair and Garden State Yoga. My classes are heart felt, uplifting, and fun. I use detailed alignment instructions to guide my students into a deeper experience and to safely expand the boundaries of their practice.

In addition to my yoga teaching and training, I was on the dance faculty at Montclair State University for over ten years and a recent guest artist at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University teaching and inspiring dance majors. I have been a professional dancer for the past twenty years performing at many prestigious venues throughout the world and am the Artistic Director of Freespace Dance, a bold and vibrant contemporary modern dance company. My established dance career as a teacher, choreographer, and performer has flavored and influenced my yoga profession in many benevolent ways.

I hold such deep gratitude to all my teachers that I have been so blessed to study with on this path. Yoga is a divine expression of our deepest truth, and I am honored to serve as a guide for so many beautiful souls. This is my life, my love, my passion and I am truly blessed. Love, light, peace, truth … and all that is good
